Morning all we only got rain and nothing bad, took longer to strap all the animals and bees down then hurricane, but if I didn’t prep? I usually lock the house down and then get called in to work at FD so we stay regardless, family leaves I stay.

Not here but the other power company is Union. All of their Mechanical Maintenance covered by IAM. They have a one year machinist helper the 4 year training program that's darn good. For Journeyman Machinists that is. Several of my past coworkers from other employer's and Tool and Die shops work there now.

On our recent beach trip we made a list of the 50 states and looked for license plates for as many as we could and checked them off, we saw 38 of the 50. Gave me something to do since the wife was driving, kids got several as well

Heres the setup, there are a few more posts after that with more photos. Thinking of selling it after this trip, only because it doesn’t get the use it deserves and I don’t have covered storage for it.
In addition, the sleeping arrangements will soon be outgrown by our boys, so we may sell, then buy a more suitable one in a few years.

Sounds like you had it made, I always pilot the trips!
This will be a solo trek, as the wife and kids are already up there staying at the in-laws new place. Should make for a little less stressful of a trip.

Speaking of prepping, you all need a winch, offroad lights? You need a 2 alternators capable of putting out 622amps. Want to put a Ham Radio in your rig, I don't know how you're doing it without 2 alternators. Overlanders this guy is looking out for you, no need to bring your generator out with you anymore

Same here but for this trip out to Michigan, I might have to concede the captain's chair, especially on the return trip as we're planning on making it in one shot.

Haha. When you said physical day, I assumed physical labor.

I go for my 6 month cholesterol check tomorrow, so no food/drink for me either, tomorrow.

That’s a good reason for an exception! I can run about 12 hrs then I need a break. This trip should be about 9 hrs with gas stops, going to pack a lunch so I can keep my stops to a minimum.

I was at my annual several years ago, grouching about this hurting and that not working like one does.

My doctor (a kid) leans over and very quietly says "you have got to realize that you are not 30 anymore..."

Well, I was mad enough to spit nails , not that he said it -- that I had to admit it.:pout:

    Hope all goes well :fingerscrossed:

Sweet, your camper is nicer than my house -- not really that much of a compliment now that I think of it, :( a Motel 6 is nicer than my house.
Does the deck travel with you? If so how does it store?
