My neighbor from across the street thought I was crazy for doing this because in his opinion they don’t work very well; They do have a tendency to leak when completely filled up, so I think he’s sorta right…

 

However, his belief that they are “totally empty within an hour” seems to be unfounded so far…

 

We have two of them on our property…

 

This one is actually our next door neighbor’s, but it sort of straddles the property line, so I filled it up; Note how it has a different filler cap than the two we have…

 

That’s my house on the right with the yellow flowers, and my neighbor’s on the left with the blue Accord in the driveway…

 

Those are similar to the water bags I use on the pool deck when I cover it for the season..and have similar issues with the seams not being durable.

I have to wonder, if you use rubber mulch in the area that would help. I use it at my house, I've read it is better at absorbing moisture and distributing it than the wood mulch.

 

I just got these Coopers in April, dammit!



Right rear tire; Just noticed it today and I’m hoping Butch can patch the tire while the body work is getting done. Luckily, the tire seems to be holding air and the warning light is not on!

 

This guy with a 2017 Audi R8 was behind me at the car wash this evening; This car is pushing about 1,000 horsepower!

 

The screw didn’t puncture the tire! Cooper Discoverer AT/3; The only tire for me!

 

Somebody dumped a new-looking window A/C in the dumpster at work over the weekend…

 

This..my brother in law does scrap here and there, he loves getting those.

 

I wanted to fire it up and make sure it was indeed done for; I left it sitting overnight at work to let the refrigerant settle, and when I fired it up minutes ago it was not was blowing cold. I thought I heard the compressor engage, but it isn’t blowing cold which likely means there’s no refrigerant in it.

 

I’m just giving it to them whole, or at least without the casing; I’m not 100% sure there isn’t Freon in it…

It is the new “environmentally friendly” refrigerant, so should I just snip it with bolt cutters and hope for the best?

 

Looks almost new!

 

Hard to tell if this happened when it was thrown in the dumpster, or if maybe the previous owner dropped it and caused some internal damage, and then put it in the dumpster…?

Would you say the truck is about done? I've already got a toolbox for the bed that I install on an as-needed basis; It's got cruise control, intermittent wipers, and a backup camera (the three things it should have had from the factory); It's got a killer stereo; It's got window tint; It's got a lift kit! I think it's done!
