These OR versus Sport threads are always entertaining! I guess it comes down to what you value more; aesthetics or capabilities.

This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for! You admitting to having to use fucking crawl control “every weekend” says everything that we needed to know about your driving skill, or lack there of, and why you so adamantly defend your overhyped erection of the off-road. Locker aside, fucking crawl control?! Talk about a gimmick. Do you also wear diapers to help with that lack of bladder control? Crawl Control: For the unskilled driver wanting to be an off-roader

damn, did crawl control screw your wife or kill your family or something? my guy is hurt.

TRD OR for the win though. factory locker makes it totally worth it. early 2nd gen sports had a mechanical limited slip (IIRC) which is pretty cool too. not sure what kind of tech goodies 3rd gen sports have - but the locker alone makes the OR worth it.

It's also the MTS selection. If you hadn't chosen your trim level poorly you'd know that.

I have a short track sled (129) and tried once to pull it in the bed. Not happening. I used to haul it in the back of my F150 though. I don't like having to pull over the wheel wells with the skis. Way to sketching and always use my trailer now.

Well the price is the same, but you get Crawl control, a rear locker, and a better suspension from the OR. You only get an ornamental hood scoop and a sunglass holder on the Sport.

I mean, in all honesty, for the money you save by buying a 4x4 SR5 instead of a TRD 4x4, you can add front and rear lockers, a suspension, and reggae and have a better truck.

I didn't know the sport was so bad you had to mod it by buying a Jeep. Wow, no wonder you regret your decision.

That’s @Wixo’s first truck. It failed on his new one too.

Got here late. I don't have CC but I have some respect for it. While I'm sure many of these situations could have been driven out of by someone with "skill" (throttle control and sawing a wheel back and forth?) there are lots of examples of CC managing torque to wheels in a way that digs them out of some steep holes.

Plus off road torque and speed management is just a "nice to have."

I've been off-road plenty in a vehicle that wasn't really deemed "off road" capable - a Jeep Liberty stock then eventually on 4" of lift and 265/70s (yes - the same size tire as a stock Tacoma). I'm sure the tech and lockers are nice to have for someone that needs it. I like to have the locker as a contingency, but don't use it very often.

@OP - You should get the vehicle that has what you value.
