Same shit. I feel like CC makes things worse by burying your truck deeper into the surface. The way it makes the truck shiver feels like it’s unhealthy for your drivetrain.

I was joking about the 'lowly' SR5 part, c'mon guys Toyota made 238k Tacoma's last year, every 5th vehicle I pass in town is a 3rd Gen Tacoma. None of the trims are unique or special, but everyone has their reasons for whatever trim they ended up buying.

For me, I wanted the most basic 4x4 system in a truck with keyless entry. The e-locker , MTS, Crawl Control is the expensive tech that will be hard to DIY fix 100k miles from now when sensors go wonky.

To stir the pot, is Crawl Control even working on the new Tacos? Have any of the 'better to have it and not need it mall crawl crowd' even used it off-road? :crapstorm:

I guess but did you see that guy get out of the truck and let it do its thing? I also acknowledged that these situations can likely be gotten out with steady throttle control and probably a bit of wheel-sawing.

I found it kind of cool. Off road cruise control sounds great for steep downhills that I used to use low range and first gear for. I'd like to give it a try if I had it.

CCs biggest boon for me has been descents. Works great on wet or slick rock. Only a couple of times have I used it to get over an obstacle that would have required bumping it otherwise.

Is it a cure all? No. Is it a million times more functional than a fake hood scoop? Yes.

Don't discount that sunglass holder; that's one of the best conveniences there is. I wish my other vehicles had it!

I like my shit to look nice and pristine. I know CC is useless here so I went with the Sport. If it were some high tech extraterrestrial technology that worked as advertised, no doubt I would’ve gotten the TRD Pro to get CC-Scoop combo.

Now I wish I had bought a sport and with the money saved bought a cool RC off-road to play with up those hills.

For my shades I use the supposed cell phone charger because it doesn't work with my phone with an OtterBox on it. I have to say there's plenty of useless things in these vehicles but I just pick and choose what I need and the rest of it is just sitting there.
