How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

Dang it! I wanted to hope that things could go faster than scheduled!

 

Well original delivery estimate was July 5th, so it did come in early!

When did you place the order?

 

I got an allocation the same day I called, so may 19. We have bought multiple cars through the same person and I think some strings were pulled to get an allocation from another dealer.

 

Similar with me. I'm just getting a SR, but apparently Double Cab v6 base is hard to come by. Told them I wanted it later this month, due to finance stuff. They found what I wanted minus color and it fit my timeline. Allocated vehicle trade from another dealer. Build date was 7/2, if I remember, and they said they normally get the, 4-6 weeks after build date. Helps that this is the third vehicle we got from this particular sales person.

 

Slow CPA. Sounds like they delivered. The one you received, did you look in the driver side door jam, to see the manufacture date ? Just wondering how they did that so fast. I have a build date of 7/26 TRD OR 4X4 DC with some nice options, this started early June.

Sounds like the group of dealers there are working together on allotments. We are in eastern TN, I guess Marietta is in their SE region.

I was impatient and ordered from across the country, as apparently the configuration in the color I wanted was uncommon for the west coast. I ordered in early May and got my build confirmation in early June. Truck arrived at dealer mid-June and arrived at my doorstep 2 weeks ago.

 

That's not bad at all for the market.

 

They even sold it to me at MSRP. But I did have to pay $1800 for shipping. I figure I can deal with that instead of waiting 6 months to get what I really wanted.

 

yeah. I'm getting mine MSRP too. Just glad it's that. I could have tried to wait for a better market, but my Tundra is telling me it's time to trade it in, and a Tacoma is really the truck I wanted in the first place. Tundra is 15 years old. I think the shipping cost on mine is like $1100, but the dealership here has that on EVERY vehicle.

 

I almost bought a TRD Pro from another dealership, but they wanted 6k over MSRP for it... fuck that, I'll just buy my sport and put the upgrades I want in it for 6k...

 

6k over MSRP is ridiculous, even in this market. good plan upgrading the sport instead.

I'm just getting a SR, but that's because I don't do a whole lot and figure the small amount of stuff I want, I can do for less than the price of upgrading to the SR5.

 

When I ordered my 2021 TRD Sport Premium on May 6 by May 9 the price jumped by 1800.00 more and I was happy and lucky to get mine before the price increase.

So on June 25th I put in my deposit.

Was given a build date of July 20th.

Told delivery 2-3 weeks after that at the earliest.

Going to call the dealer tomorrow, as it has been two weeks, speak with the saleswoman and see where things are at.

 

good thinking. I'm impatient, they heard from me this week already, and I only put stuff down on 6/29 and then called this week to find out it's in production. Figure I should give them a week where they don't hear from me.

 

It was not easy, I can tell you that, but I somehow got through two weeks without contacting them.
