It sucks, I don't think the surgery did much good (yet). Started doing PT, we'll see what a few weeks of that does.

I still have this really intense swelling right on the back of the heel (where all shoes rub) so it's making everything tougher than it should be. My MTB shoes seem to barely bother it on the bike, so that's about the only positive thing. Not riding for a few months certainly has killed any fitness I had prior, LOL.

I haven't ridden for a week because I was out on vacation elsewhere...I need to get back on the saddle. A week is too long away from my lover. I mean, my bike.

No. That would've also been a different type of fun. Did a whitewater trip earlier this year. This one was a boating trip. Wakesurfing and waverunners for days.

Nice. I wakeboarded for the first time earlier this year - it was awesome but my back was super sore for about a week from that lower back twist.

Basically all my riding happens during the week now, summers are for whitewater!

I've been off it too long as well. I think I'm at 2.5 weeks off. Need to get to spinning again.

Weirdest thing, I haven’t rode in 2 weeks.

I was going to ride last weekend, however some reason my knee started hurting. Not to walk on or stand on, but to bend and then pick myself up. For example climbing stairs = pain.

so anyways resting and it seems to be getting better, but if it doesn’t completely heal I guess I’ll be off for a while.

All this happened working on a ladder, no wrecks or anything. Think I just twisted it

hahahaha. that would've been hilarious to see on the water.

Nice. I don't enjoy wakeboarding as much. It's REALLY hard on yoru body. I've got concussions before with it. I stick to wakesurfing only now. MUCH easier ont he body and way more fun.

Too much fishing? Or is it too much "phishing"?

ouch. Yeah, give your knee a break. My knee was starting to act up first day on the water so I was concerned but the day after, because I hadn't done anything, it felt much better. :/

    Definitely doesn’t help things.
I think it was overuse honestly. All day on a ladder, squats (though lightweight) I haven’t worked out in forever, plus carelessness for these old joints.

Colorado Front Range resident here looking to find some mtb riding buddies! Years of dirtbike experience but just picked up an old hardtail to get into pedal power. I've been to Eagle Wind, Table Mountains, Green Mountain, and a bunch of Boulder spots, so any blue terrain is good for me (and my lack of a shock lol)

You haven't cracked the surface of watersports injuries until someone straps you into an airchair. One twitch and you're upside down 5 feet in the air.

Fishing, plus just trying to find the motivation to go ride when its friggin hot outside. Thankfully its decently cool in the evenings so maybe I need to start going on dusk patrols.
