They used it from the '40s into the '70s. From some reports I read it was still being used into the 80s, despite having been banned. My mom doesn't remember taking that particular med but they had her on a bunch of stuff, even my dad was having issues keeping track of what she was on.

They gave me a few in the hospital until I found the majority of the pain I was experiencing was eliminated once a certain nurse thought of placing some pillows under my knees to reduce the pressure around the pelvic area. That did the trick! Got a bottle of them to go but I haven't had to take any, just been sticking to the ibuprofen, and the Tylenol until that ran out.
