Good morning everyone!! Sending good thoughts your way @ImpulseRed008 Susan!!!

Got the mower garage 4/5 painted before I ran out of paint yesterday about noon. It was blazing hot so I called it a day - picked up another gallon of paint and will finish it when the weather allows (only the back side that can't be seen from the road is unfinished). Looks like we're in for thunderstorms today.

    Stay safe out there!!

Could be. We have a pretty good variety of birds, but we live at the edge of a large old growth forest. We wash the feeders, change hummingbird nectar every week or so. My experience, the otc stuff has a little preservative, it's good for about two weeks. Plus we put out sunflower seeds, mealworms, orange halves, and dry cat food, for a variety of other birds.

That is the plan. Meanwhile the Grackles have arrived, late this year, and I am going through seed quickly.

In the DC area we are having a bird sickness that causes them to go blind. A Mystery Illness Is Killing Mid-Atlantic Songbirds : NPR

Today it is off to Michigan for 10 days. I will try and pop in every day.

Good morning Carl. It is off to clean the pond filters this morning, fill up the bird feeders, and tidy up the grill area. Then gas up the sons truck for the trip and finish packing. We are trying to leave by 3:30 this afternoon and spend the night in Cranberry PA.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porchies! Well, if it can be believed, I can mow this morning without rain. Noah and the Ark may visit tomorrow. That's it, my whole plan. Go from there. More coffee!

Safe trip Tom - stop in Kalamazoo - it's Kool!

The best way to attract hummingbirds it to plant flowering bushes they like. Purple sage is a good one in my area. Seems to bloom almost year round. Plus it’s pretty and smells good. Jasmine is another great one.

We are headed into the Thumb on the banks of Saginaw Bay. Very restful. With luck this will be my view.

    Good Afternoon Folks.

I was thinking the same as Carl was :notsure:. Glad to hear you are doing better Sue, but I will continue to send prayers down to you. Be Well and stay safe.

Good neighbors are the best. Glad they are keeping and eye on you.

Doing better than expected Carl. Thanks. I went to PT for an evaluation on Tuesday, my first appointment was yesterday morning and I discover what PT really does stand for ....Pain and Torture :). After an hour and a half, they put me on the bike to rock back and forth and as I was playing on my cell phone I did the unthinkable (for me anyway) and went up and around not even thinking about it. Very little pain and after icing the knee, I went home and took a nap and an advil cocktail. all is good.

Have a great day folks and be safe especially you MS. Susan.

LOL You know it. One thing I like about Saginaw Bay, all small motor craft including Jet Skis need to be off the water at sunset. Makes for a quiet sunset.

Hey, just remembered, if you're near the top of the thumb, you can see both sunrise and sunset over the water!

Put away the deck furniture, moved the gas grill next to the house (out of the wind) and locked the wheels, and checked that the generator is all ready to go. I guess that I am ready to entertain Elsa...

Good morning everyone!!! Welcome to the weekend for those who still have to work!!

Glad to hear the rehab is tracking Ken!! Keep working it...but don't fall off that bike. :)

I worked on patching the cracks in the greenhouse pad yesterday - got the large one done and will do the little one today. Too many showers around to finish painting the mower garage so I'll do that tomorrow. We had some hard rain last evening but no thunderstorms.

Of course, no greenhouse is complete without a Tiffany chandelier...took a picture at dusk last night. Lynn loves it.

:rain::pccoffee: Good Morning and Happy Friday Porch People. Well, we got about 1.25" from the tropical storm that isn't after I mowed yesterday. Supposed to be more to come today, but we are between "bands" at the moment. Can't fool me!

Good morning porch peeps. Happy Friday for those who work and happy Saturday for those who don’t. It’s warming up here, 108 today and 111 tomorrow. Going to get a little exercise in the pool this morning and this evening we are going to an outdoor concert. Going to see a “cowboy “ group called the Old West Trio. After swimming going to crank up the a/c and vegetate til this evening. Have a great weekend all, be safe.
