    hi gang.

already have a '18 Tundra and am looking to get the wife a Tacoma. dealership has a 2018 Tacoma with 22,918 and they are asking $29895. the salesman and myself have exchanged a few emails and he gave me a final price which was trade in for her car, tax, title, etc...and the total is : $ 29,154 .

truck prices are beyond crazy right now and just seeing what others think of this price for the truck. i was expecting to pay $28-29k. we just sold our house and have a good chunk of money left over and will be paying cash for this . not sure if there is wiggle room due to the prices being crazy ?

i am actually surprised its not gone already as its priced lower than all the other Tacomas that I have seen locally.

Since you have a tundra, I’d get the Mrs a 4runner.

but, that doesn’t seem like a terrible price to me.

Have you priced brand new similarly equipped Tacoma’s?
    How many previous owners?
If you really like the vehicle, take it to an independent mechanic and have them do a PPI. Usually costs $150-200 and will give you some peace of mind before you buy.

thought about that.....but price on those would be a bit higher. she wants to get a kayak and having the tacoma would be easier loading.

new tacoma's are almost what I paid for the Tundra a few years ago, which is insane.

not sure how previous owners, but it couldnt have been many if only has that few miles.

i am just basically asking with this Tacoma TRD with that mileage, is the price good ? not sure what others are seeing in their areas, but as I said, prices in our area are insane.

found out it was a one owner and it was a lease vehicle.....and it was serviced by a local toyota dealership

Just took a glance at some comparable vehicles on autotrader and models with similar specs to yours, with about the same mileage, are going for about $5,000 more than what they’re asking for the one you’re looking at. I’d tread lightly on this one. There’s got to be a reason. Are you in a northern state where non 4x4 models don’t sell well?

Are you buying from a Toyota dealership? Is it certified? I would think being an 18’ with that low of miles if you’re buying from Toyota it should be a certified used vehicle which comes with and extra 7 year 100,000 miles warranty

It probably sat in a insurance auction yard for 6 months with broken glass alowing the interior to get soaked waiting for the lender/insurance company to release the title so it can be auctioned off to one of the unscrupulous rebuilder foaming at the mouth from said discovery sitting in a auction yard

highly doubt that since it was a one owner and it was a lease vehicle and their lease was over and traded that in and got something different.

Then I'd get my ass in gear & cut a check if it's not already gone

Well you said trade in was included in the price they quoted you, that could be the outlier here. how much did they give you?

and i have looked at other models and prices are low to mid 30's for the same truck and some are newer and some have more miles.

not in a northern state.....in a southern state.
