Yes! I missed that part. This is definitely the reason why the $29,xxx seemed low to me. What were they asking before trade was included?

I agree with this. On a side note. How big of a kayak does she want? I have a TRD OR and a cheap 10' kayak. When I was young, I would put it on top of the cab (thule racks), now it sticks out the back pretty good in my 5' bed. Is it a long bed?
What are you trading in? What is the price before that?

edit: saw your $3500 so the used truck is $34k? I would buy new.

originally they were asking $30.991 for the truck......no offers or nobody has seen it ( ?) and they lowered the price to $29,895......which is not a bad price ( at least I dont think it is ) and that is why i started this thread to see

Of course. Not what was asked though. If it was a Toyota CPO you'd get the benefit of additional warranty.

Can't really speak to the price, because I'm not in the market. And if I was, I'd be looking for a private purchase that the seller was a bit unaware of the vehicle pricing madness.

Be careful with your trade valuation, which has been internet based. They likely will pick over it when they see it, looking for reasons to lower the number.

Since you're considering paying cash, I'd think hard about renegotiating the deal on a cash basis, then selling your 'trade' on your own. Dealers are always the winner with a trade in deal. If they weren't, they wouldn't do it.

OP, sounds like you really want the vehicle. Have a PPI done by a mechanic of your choosing and pull the trigger if it checks out. Make sure she drives it first though. These Tacoma’s are not speed demons and lots of folks are let down by the lack of power when they smash the pedal.

I'm a little confused on the money. After trade-in on your wife's car, it's a $29,154 difference out-the-door? Does she owe on her trade-in?

i have no idea what size kayak she wants to get and probably what ever one she will get will hang over, but its not a big deal as will use a ratchet strap to secure it . its not a long bed.

where did you see that the truck is $34k ?
the tacoma out the door with her trade in at $3500 and taxes, title and everything else is $29, xxx

which I had one of these before I got the tundra and that was the main reason why i traded it in was the lack of power. for her, it will be an upgrade as the honda is a 2010 and the 4 banger is getting old.

I guess I am confused with the price of just the truck before the trade. I was taking 3500 and addiing it to the 29,xxx.
What is the price before the trade? If I missed this in previous posts, I apologize. Is it at a Toyota dealership?
A 2010 Honda is a pretty sought after car especially in the gas price situation. I feel if all you are getting is 3500 they will wholesale that car and it will be on a lot for $6995.
If you and your wife really like the truck is really all that matters. Congrats on selling your house.

I would run the VIN to make sure it is a TRD OR, does it have crawl control and an outlet in the bed?
