What’s a common size tire to run on the 17x9 ray 10?

I’ve got a 2017 trd pro with the westcott 1.5” lift and body mount chop already done. Currently running 285/75/16 on the stock wheels. I’ve got 17x9 ray 10’s sitting in the garage and am finally ready to buy tires. Any help would be appreciated!

imo, anything less than 285 wide looks goofy on a 9" wheel.

Agreed. I’ve seen a lot of 285/70/17 but I think I want a little bigger

285/75/17 or 290/70/17 seem to be a good choice. You could run even a true 35” but idk if you are committed for that much cutting.

I’ve got 285/75/17 and think they look perfect for my usage

Just so peeps know, 285/75/17 will rub and I would suggest cutting your fenders and flares 2” for off-roading. Also an aggressive cmc will still probably rub locking, unless you can get the cut angled back.

yeah it’ll def rub, but fender trimming might be a bit excessive. You’ll def need an aggressive cmc, pinch welds, and a good amount of plastic cutting

Pick your favorite. They’re very similar sizes. The 285 is a little taller but a little narrower. You’re talking roughly 1/2” differences though. Personally I’d go with the taller 285

I’d like a taller tire but I’m just worried about clearance. If I run a 295/70/17 it’ll be closer to what I have now but just a little wider

Lmao what? Do not cut fenders and flares for 285’s. Only have to trim about 1” for 315’s in the front and less in the back.

Whatever you say man, it’s not like I don’t have the set up or anything. Btw it’s a 285/75. And why cut 1” when 2” looks better? May as well go even with the firewall while your at it.

Cause who wants enough gap between the fender and tire to shove a baby in? Tighter is better. And you can fit 315/70’s without cutting any firewall as well if you’re being serious.
