Just look at LSK, Dirt Designs, or the Solo xlt kit. They all use vertical uniballs for the uppers with a fabbed spindle

Edit: the LSK kit pushes $10k with shocks for 4wd with all the add on goodies

Shock mount is underneath the bucket. I bolted it to the shock off of the truck and then bolted it in like any other coilover.

The spring retainer isn't on the pics that @EatSleepTacos posted but is on Morgan's truck. That's 3/8" difference alone.

    Yes
that’s not an accurate way to measure if you don’t have the bottom spring perch on, they are pretty thick

I just checked and it's exactly 3/8" thick. So 1-3/8" remaining shaft then.

To be clear, I do not care if there's excess shaft remaining. That's why I posted up though, to add to the group knowledge of these kits. Mainly to remind everyone to actually cycle and check your bumps and upper uniball.

Is it possible that the LCA kit and spacers changes the geometry enough from stock? That should account for some of that I would think, seeing as I have stock tabs.

I care about making it perfect for you guys though!

Let me get this truck together and we can revisit this. Can you pls also get me measurements off your shock and rod end?

    Thanks Randy

Here’s my final guess. I put on my coil perch to better compare it to the pic Harry posted. When you compared where the red vs the green line is, they’re closer than we think. Enough that the difference could come from the lca further forward on Harry’s truck.

Here’s this pic I took the other day. 7.5” of shock and a 2.5” rod end.

I thought I read that when you have the LT kit you have to put it in the pivot kit stock location. I could be wrong, but that’s one reason I didn’t bother with it yet since the lower arm moves forward already.

I'm curious how it's considered horizontal when the bolt is vertical. I'm guessing because the orientation of the uniball is horizontal.

I’ve always seen it referenced as to the orientation of the uniball.
