I was kind of stuck on the beach last weekend and reversed out of it. Obviously it sloped towards the water a bit. It was that rocky beach, no sand. I had to get a running start to get the f out of there, haha!

It's good to know that I can count on the crew on TW to provide unbiased opinions of what trim to buy, not to mention a lesson on finance.

Most of the Sport owners recognize that a locker would be beneficial in some off-road scenarios. It's when an OR owner comes of like a douche-bag that the gloves come off.

Capability wise, they're barely different. After buying my sport, which I did as it was optioned how I wanted (otherwise, sr5 is fine), I had the typical second thought about needing to have gotten the off road, which coming on here will do to you. I was honest with myself about what I needed, and about how much I disliked the sloppiness with which the or accelerated and cornered. If you can't tell a difference on the road, then get the or. It was pretty clear to me, and that is where it will be mostly, excepting light trails and snow driving, which the sport handles fine.

Are you a politician? I really don't give a crap what you drive. I'm extremely happy with my Sport and I hope that doesn't make you lose sleep at night. Apparently you know more about the needs of all truck owners. Do you offer tractor trailer advice as well?

Ricer scoop is hilarious from the guy with a ricer truck! Obviously you don't actually know anything about the various models available and which options come with which trim packages. MY sport came with quite a few options that weren't standard on an SR5 model like the locking hard tonneau, factory side steps, 17" wheels instead of 16", larger Nav screen, V6 w/tow package and cooler, wireless charger (all of which I would have paid more for as accessories)... and a fancy hood scoop to boot! Hmmm :deadhorse:

I don't care if they block me for saying it but this guy is just an arrogant turd. :poking:

Sounds like you're trying to convince yourself after you realized you made a mistake in trims. Sad.

    Haha! It is though.

A stock 4x4 Sr will go where a stock off-road will go. Tires and driver mod make a big difference.

Not all "offroading" involves climbing giant rocks or fording your way through deep water. Not all "offroading" requires a locker or even a lift kit. I go "offroading" quite often as I hunt and fish all over Michigan. Someone's obviously trying to justify his own waste of extra dollars spent on his OR so he could look cool in the parking lots.
