Yeah, but you'll get $1.34 out of it. Worth it.

I thought about throwing on the swaybar for my inspection I had on 6/30 for June 21 expiring tag...I wasn't driving still back then and my wife wasn't too happy about having to run home and grab the swaybar and install it and drive back (glad I've got a solid inspection shop 3.5mi from my house!). Thankfully it passed without issue...especially since my undercarriage and wheel wells are always covered in dust and mud.

Over here, you could sell those stock leaf springs for ~$100. It's funny to me how much stock parts go for over here, especially the type of stuff that we would usually just give away to a good home.

BTW, I can't help my inner tree-hugger from wanting you to take them to scrap instead of dump, even though there would still be a chance they would just end up in a dump anyway.

Usually the dump has a separate dumpster for metal. I'll take a stab and say that it does get recycled.

I was thinking that too, or at least hoping that would be the norm for most dumps. Just was thinking there was a better chance of it happening at a scrap yard. Honestly, I just need to stop thinking about it, haha.

Got the new wheels/tires on with out the lift somehow. Just needed to do the standard pull the mudflaps and trim the fender a little. Very light rubbing on the body mount, once I have the lift/JBA UCAs that should be sorted. She's getting there!

Your a good man. The dump is well maintained and has separate dumpsters for metal, wood/clippings/soils, trash, etc. the guy that runs it takes a lot of pride in keeping everything in it place/organized. I’d imagine they make quite a bit of $ recycling all that metal. Good for me, them and nature!

If you don’t hear from me again, assume I’m not a very good mechanic and Tiffany is selling the Taco haha.

I'd highly recommend you take the dump truck for a drive. You'd be horrified.

Just to get some clarification: Will they fail you if you don't have a sway bar?

Well @3pooches Shannon's truck failed for not having one, so I decided to put them back on.

I ended up only putting the front on because the rear was kinda hard to get on with the tires on, so I gave up. I passed with the front only, no rear. And on the 4runners, the rear is really obvious if it's not on. There's some decent size brackets on the frame in the wheel well with something obviously missing. They're viewable from externally looking in, and they never mentioned anything.

@fatfurious2 passed with none, so I guess it really depends on the inspector
