Always happy to have some local help. Following the maps given via GPS can be interesting at times. I do have all the maps from OF4WD so we won't be going into it too blind. Mind you, anyone who was with me during the Swisha loop knows I blow at navigating lol

    What I got so far.

My and my Jeep buddies all usually start here; it's a good point to start with a large parking area to get people situated.
    44.841773, -77.653779
little gas station by the name of "Trudy's place", there are multiple trails that lead and you could take out to Griffith/ sullivan lake and we can easily pick and choose our trails to go up to Sullivan lake while driving across a power corridor

Done! Makes sense to me! So this could be a general meeting place before hitting the trails.

Do my camp spots shown make sense?

Just checked, from the trudy's place it appears to be 1 hour and 45 minute drive to the trail head. You could run it backwards which would cut the time by 30 minutes. Just not sure how long it would take to get to camp. Mind you a level one trail should ride pretty quick so should work....

    That make sense @Shveet ?

For Friday then this could be the general plan? Just getting this for the first page... @Shveet and anyone else let me know.

So general meetup spot for those coming from the GTA area:
44.841773, -77.653779 little gas station by the name of "Trudy's place"

for the Ottawa gang any suggestions? @Pat613

    Option 1:
From there you can head to our start of the Vennachar trail (45.09793,-77.07153 this is actually the end of the trail) and will be about an hour and 15 minute drive or so.

While on the trail you will find the following campsites (the first one is roughly 14-15kms in or so based on the GPS tracks) :
    • This one is last resort as it is "busy on a dusty road" 45.15691,-76.95822
    • This one is just passed the Sullivan Lake Trail --> 45.15646,-76.96136
    • -45.16336,-76.94884
    • -45.17858,-76.92514
    Option 2:
From Trudys @Shveet has a trail that is approximately 4 hours that will take us to the start of the Vennachar trail

Goal is to find a campsite for Friday night which will be the overall group meet up place. Can divide into multiple sites (based on how large) and break up to run different trails.

Ah gotcha. I’ll add that in for those that may be able to meet up Friday. For those that may be going to camp directly from trudys the vennauchar trail may be the ticket?

I believe there is also a good sized area at Quinn lk to camp, there is also the backside of Dodge lake that has a large site
