That seems to be the consensus opinion on here, and I agree that it could definitely be improved. However, I do use it whenever I'm in the Taco for a long drive. I'm usually playing music through a CPlay2Air wireless Carplay adapter, and I find that if I have my phone on the wireless charger that it at least maintains its charge for the duration of the drive. It may not charge up any more, but at least it holds steady which is good enough for my purposes. I have also read some experiences with the phone getting excessively hot, but mine never seems to get more than a little warm, even over several hours.

Of course, I keep a lightning cable in the console just in case. :)

Not sure where you're at but this looks like that place outside of Radiator Springs where Lightning McQueen learned to turn on dirt. : )

The Qi charger takes forever to charge a phone. Mine does get hot, but even worse, the rubber part has bubbled twice now, and I've had to get it replaced.

I accepted it was a shitty implimentation, and embraced it for a nice little lighted cubby for my wallet, key, and important stuff. Helps at night.

That's basically all I use it for at this point. I'm still getting it replaced since Toyota is covering it and the bubbles get on my nerves.

Which CDT models? They make some neat speakers.

Bummer. I've just started using mine this past year after owning the truck for nearly 5 years. I think I'm going to stop using it and go back to my cable charger as my truck is just about completely out of warranty.

Never even used mine and got the bubble. Luckily I was still under warranty at the time, and the dealership took care of it. No problems since getting it replaced, but still avoid using it.

Not who you quoted, but I recently mounted some DD SS3 pods using the BAMF behind the grill bracket. Pics below.

The bracket is extremely well designed, and theres even one up for sale in the 3rd gen marketplace!

Finally got the OEM roof rack installed. What a saga…not to mention a PITA. Missing hardware kit, replacement shipment (also missing hardware kit), more missing parts identified during first failed attempt at installation, multiple calls/emails to the vendor (who finally just stopped replying altogether…ask me if you want to know who not to order OEM parts from), finding a source for the hard to find missing square metric nut (have quite a few now if anyone needs one), etc. It’s on there, but only after dealing with a stripped and stuck bolt that about pushed me over the edge. Why such a simple rack is so difficult is beyond me. Shouldn’t be any leaks since I replaced the neoprene washers with better rubber ones and was generous with the RTV, too…but I’m apparently already snake bit on this job so time will tell. On the positive note, no clearance issues with the shark fin.

I do like the look and that the crossbars stow away when not needed. Know there are better and beefier rack options out there, but I only need this for occasional use when I need to tote a canoe (in concert with a hitch stand). Just didn’t want it sitting on the roof.

I finally found a cement hood with a scoop yesterday. Grabbed it for 850. And installed it today. Really easy process.
