URD's walbro kit is good and has worked well for many. I don't know if the ethanol content in gas these days may shorten its lifespan or not and a couple of the other options are rated for ethanol. Mine has been more than adequate though.

I can't remember if you need the TRD flash already to use Hptuners or not. Reading the facts thread I think the 2005-11 ecu's can be directly flashed and updated to the SC tune but I'm not 100% on that.

I also know Justin can flash it with the ecu in hand and that might be your best bet as long as you don't need the truck for a couple days while shipping the ecu. Probably the cheapest option to get you up and running but you won't have the capability to update or change the tune further unless buying into the HPtuner package.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hptuners-the-tacoma-faq.705981/

Vftuner is new from the ovtune guy and might be an option too. Don't know anyone with it and not sure of the capabilities yet but Justin is learning and working with their software as well.

Not much new in my world. Changed the rear diff oil after a proper break-in period for the truetrac.

Recently did a lot of highway and backroads driving and with the current meth nozzles I have to fill a gallon fluid for every 3/4 tank so it felt like I was filling the meth reservoir constantly.

I may try mixing meth again vs the winter washer fluid I usually use just to gauge the difference.

Got some cheesy stickers and a pin and thinking of putting a Greta on my intercooler reservoir.

Nice! Haaha before I logged in I was hoping they were the ones with her in a compromised sex position. Although those have probably all been burned by now

That would be badass! I think he said he had a shutdown or busy time at work coming up so he may be banking some $$$.

I have since removed the warranty voided sticker, just seemed kind of lame to me.

You are a man of exquisitely refined taste.

I should be up in Edmonton sometime within the next month or so. Don't know the details yet and have to check with mission control (wife). Usually don't take the truck but may just have to this time.

Nice!! I will be around. I'm on vacation for the next too weeks but will be working in the garage. Looking forward to seeing your truck again.

I've been driving the car a ton lately and that's been awesome. When you're here I'll show you. We'll check out all three vehicles.

Just noticed a bunch of Instagram posts of your car. She's looking good and definitely want to check it out.

What kind of projects you got on the go? How's the suspension treating you?

Oh man I love the suspension still. That with the motor mount are like railz

But yeah. The radiator leak suddenly decided to get worse. I have everything I need to leak check and then figure out what to fix, but I've just been procrastinating on it while I enjoy my car. Hoping the fix is as easy as I think it will be.

Haha man I’ve been reduced to blending in behind the scenes again….. haven’t posted mich for a wh8le…..

Unfortunately the truck’s supercharger is not bought yet….. like the nuclear codes in 1963 I’m still hovering over the button…. It’s only a matter of time though. Meaning money probably isn’t the issue…. Also want to install it wen I’m in Edmonton so @Athlaos can help….

@SnozzCumber - Russ (@TodayWasTHeDaY) and I met for beer and tacos and wings yesterday and we were saying I would be happy to help but charge you $300 an hour lol

Just kidding, maybe the deal rate of $200 an hour would be fine.

That would include free room and board while you're here though. So there is that :D

That was a fun evening Leigh! Your car was sweet and a blast to cruise around in on a nice summer eve.

@SnozzCumber if you take Leigh up his offer I may be able to visit and heckle you guys and drink beer while you work or something lol

Still liking that spec clutch? When I went to KRave a couple months back they talked me out of one. Said they have a better time using the stock AISIN clutch and just replacing them every couple years. Do you think you could get two years use out of an AISIN? They are only 400$+900$ for install

Are you forced induction? The stock clutch is pretty good until modded, then it has a short shelf life. Seems stock a lot of guys easily go 100k and further on them.

I think if I did it again I'd get the Spec 2+, which is more than adequate for SC tacos, supposed to be a little more civil and actually lasts longer. The 3+ is still loud and squeely whenever slipping the clutch in first and reverse so my truck sounds like a piece of shit at times lol. It drives decent for the most part once broken in (break in is painful though).

Also lightweight flywheels tend to increase chatter and decrease driveability a bit. There's aluminum flywheels out there that have a reputation for making people's rides not fun to drive.
