Video I made of Independence Pass last week. It's nothing amazing for riding but has great scenery and worth it if you're ever in the area.

Pulled my headlight off, pulled the taillight and support brace. Swapped to 300xc plastics. Swapped back to stock start/kill buttons (not sure i trust the others to not rust any after the swim).

Maintenance day: just before she rolls over the 500 mile marker
today she gets her second oil change
second inline fuel filter screen change
first chain clean, lube & tension adjustment
will also check air filter and clean if needed
so far its been mostly paved roads so she has stayed rather clean

Mostly paved roads you say? Sounds like it’s supermoto conversion time!

Just finished shimming the valves after breaking in the new head. A bent valve turned into needing a whole new head but lucky the piston was fine. 20210701_193249.jpg

    None... yet.
    From yesterday:

Heading to Summit Point! It's only 20 minutes away, so not really a long journey...

    IMG_1332.jpg

On track! A few things about this pic: 1. The guy in front of me was on an Indian Flat Tracker and it was bad-ass! 2. There was an auto track day going on next to our track and it sounded like someone was on the verge of having an accident all day long, i.e. constant tire squealing. Pretty bad-ass! 3. This was the first time I fell in love with a track and felt like the bike and I "meshed". Came soooo close to dragging my knee throughout the day and, while I know that's not a true indicator of anything, still to have that experience would be pretty... bad-ass! 4. To confirm the first part of #3, I got bumped from Novice to Rookie and got some really great feedback from a couple of the riding coaches. Being just a few weeks shy of 53, I'll take it! 5. By the end of the day, I was exhausted. My helmet and leathers were nothing short of just plain gross with sweat! 6. It was a gorgeous day overall, hot and humid but there was a breeze, we had a spot along a tree line which helped with afternoon shade, and last, but not least, I found a small raspberry patch and harvested a few handfuls throughout the day!

    IMG-0096.jpg

Edit: Totally forgot to add that they always do a prize drawing at the beginning of the day and I got picked for a free track day! Gotta say that, too, was straight up bad-ass! Lol!

just cant justify the price, i would like a seat and some engine management way before buying a motard setup

these tires give me some peace on mind knowing i can rip across a random field or a random trail with little more traction than a motard tire

we emailed this seller yesterday and he is slightly negotiable, now waiting for my friend to step up and pull the trigger
