Pretty sure my moms sweet cornbread had buttermilk in the mix, always moist, always sweet.

My mother in law being a Tennessean, me being a Kentuckian, always has quips about what is southern, and what isn't. Being that Kentucky stayed neutral during the civil war.

I tell her us Kentuckians are a lot of things, but we aren't dumb enough to fight for free(Volunteers)

 

I jalapenos, and I like cornbread, but not together. Sweet is the ONLY cornbread.

 

Sweet cornbread preferably here, and moist or dry, moist is better but I usually throw it right in the bowl with ham and beans.
Ham and beans with cornbread usually or pretty much the only time I ate it.

 

That would be Grounds to send the Daughter back home.

Ruin good corn bread like that.
