What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Mr Marv box hitting my doorstep Monday. Going to have a few days of prep work to stain and urethane the box, maybe wet sand to a high gloss. Then, Friday, one day whirlwind install. Sub amp is already in, have to pull the front seat to get to it and run wire.

 

Spent a bunch of money on some stuff I'll probably never use.





Bubba Rope does smell kinda nice though.

 

I mean, can you really say you overland unless you have a bunch of stuff you'll never fully utilize on your truck? in all seriousness it's probably better to have it and not need it than the other way around. I like where you mounted it in the bed!

 

Recovery gear is kind of like a fire extinguisher. Completely useless 99.9% of the time but that one time you need it you’d better have it.

I keep a pretty heavy duty first aid kit in my truck, and I’ve dug into it numerous times. People poke fun about the tourniquets and shit but they don’t turn down the bandaids and Tylenol.

 

Yup, you guys nailed it. Rather have it and not need it than the other way around.

New Greenlane Offroad Aluminum Skid! Looks good and the build quality is superb.

 

Some a**hat swung out from a side street onto the access road right as I was passing said street. Gave them a nice little 50 mph bump. They instantly fled the scene. Passed my dash cam video off to the police. Everything is fixable, fortunately.

 

Yet another reason to have a dash cam, glad she isn't totalled!

 

Thanks! I was SO happy when insurance called and said it would not be totaled. The dash cam is definitely one of the best investments i've made so far.

 

This Greenlane stuff is super nice and they seem like a really good company.

Waited all day for fedex to drop off my new seats and they only delivered the passenger side.. guess I can wait another day or 2. New seat is the wider enduro elite model on the left (passenger) black suede/carbon fiber backing/ light grey band color combo this time

 

Wanting to do this on my truck but it’s a DD...
Haven’t really looked into what my options would be to keep airbag system functional , at least partially

This is my daily driver as well and I’m trying to figure out how to make the airbag work too. I’ve seen some people hook up a resistor to make it think it’s still connected
