I went to bed at 11:00 last night. I woke up at 9:00 this morning, went to the bathroom and then back to bed.

My wife woke me up at 12:30.

Guess I must have needed it!

 

Howdy everyone. I slept past my alarm clock this morning but woke early enough to get coffee started before my cousin got here to help me work on the Corvette some..again.
We hung the trailing arms and put the differential in and called it a good morning. We both had yard clean up from last night's storm and I had to mow as well.
I'm not sure about salt pork, not sure I ever heard of it. Usually just salt and pepper my ham and beans to taste. Haven't had ham n beans in awhile but sounds good now.

Salt pork is salt-cured pork. It is usually prepared from pork belly, or, more rarely, fatback. Salt pork typically resembles uncut side bacon, but is fattier, being made from the lowest part of the belly, saltier, as the cure is stronger and performed for longer, and never smoked.

 

I've always called it country bacon, like country ham

 

I was actually able to take my Dad (Sgt. Vietnam veteran Army) on the DFW Honor Flight as his guardian. Very cool experience.

After being Hurt before Christmas and pretty much unable to walk.

Grocery Shopping the only place I had to go about 36 miles a month when I was unable to get a ride

No income since Christmas no desire to go anyplace.

 

Awhile back there was a poll about middle names. My father was named after a brother and best friend of my grandfather who were both killed in WW2. I was named after my father, so I have pride in my name.

My grandfather actually got me hooked on cornbread with butter and a little syrup instead of honey.

 

Like my place all the time I need to stand in one spot 50' from the front door to get any signal.

 

Weird how the name changes.

I eat it with butter and a little molasses.

 

Did a lot of brush hogging Tonight got the food plot cleared and piled up some old stumps, got bright and early hunters safety class tomorrow for both my kids, was their summer homework
