27K is way too much. I'd have purchased a nice 2nd gen myself if I had that kind of money to spend. Blows my mind what people are paying for these trucks. I'll bet that's more than the original purchase price.

I paid way to much for the one I just bought, but hey guys are spending way too much on side by sides, gambling, bass fishing boats, etc. I know a guy who just paid 30,000.00 for a 85 straight axle with 40,000 original miles on it. It’s show room condition bone stock.

I guess it’s all in what a man wants, 27,000.00 is allot of money. I bought a new Tundra in 2019 put 23,000 miles on it and sold it back and made close to 5k on it. It’s crazy but it’s really crazy when Toyota dealerships are buying used trucks for more then you paid for them new. I was offered 3k more then I paid for the Tacoma I just bought by a man already. Demand is high but it will come back down. I think allot people are tired of the new trucks and all the computers and stuff.

I think your correct on this subject. These are the items that always fail right after the warranty expires. And most are really expensive to repair or replace.

True, but then you'd have a 2nd gen. :bananadead:

That said, as much as I love 1st gens, this is a ridiculous price, and you'd be high AF to pay that.

With that few miles on it, it's obviously been sitting around in a garage its entire life, All the rubber bits (vacuum hoses, suspension bushings, etc) are just as broken down from age alone, and none of the seals have had warm oil touch them probably since I graduated college. That thing needs almost as much work as one that has 200k miles on it.
