I wish I had your 5th gear. My 5th gear is more like your 6th and too tall. I can go up most hills in 4th as long as I don't push the pedal down and just let it crawl. It will lose a bit of speed but speed but I'd rather that than it drop to 3rd and have it scream. The 4.0 is loud when up to 3500 to 4000 rpm.

It works well. With these heavier tires you really feel it. These are basically 33's that weight as much as 35's. It has very decent pull in 4th gear now as well. I've gotten used to winding this engine up. The 5.29's are overkill for my truck, except for when i'm towing they are awesome! 4.88 would be much better on mpg when unloaded. Still no regrets on my gear choice tho for what i use the truck for.

I have no idea what my diff. gear ratio is but I think I'd like a lower one. I tow a lot with my truck and maybe this is something I should look into.

Did you buy this trailer? I'm considering this exact trailer as well. Its between this one, which I prefer, and the much lighter but very basic sunray 139t. I would do one long trip per year, including some bc mountains.
