Yeah, vehicles get lived in. I know the nissan hasn't been cleaned like that in at least 13 years, and who knows on the taco.

F in the chat, if she's trying to pawn it off instead of fixing it,, you should add it to your fleet

 

That is an unbelievably nice looking exterior in my opinion..... wash and a wax and it'll be a kickass sleeper when you're done with it

A heater tee burst... Imagine that... the noise, smell, steam.... Doesn't stop till it gets Soo hot it shuts off

Than the water pump leaks like a mofo after that, still runs it

The timing belt that has 150k on it snaps... Oh my god why did my truck break "I dont drive it that far" is her favorite impulse any time anyone tells her what's fucked

It took a week of arguing gnashing of teeth and reason from me my coworkers and boss to get her to buy the timing belt kit because she was too cheap to replace anything that wasnt the timing belt

 

When I see this picture, my mind expects Ban Blocker to come walking around the front to be filmed in a commercial.

It's moderately-wildly infuriating being her son

 

Very lucky not to have lost an engine. I read stories about people losing their engines from overheating or neglecting the timing belt.

 

Three...hundred...and... seventy... Thousand... Miles

How how can anything be made to endure that level of neglect and abuse

 

Because half-life (with proper care) is around 500,000 miles. The 2UZ is a sweet engine. It is well lubricated, balanced, runs cool, low RPM with high torque.

 

Thanks, I'm hoping it'll wash up nicely. Haven't even tried to clean anything but the engine bay and the interior a little bit. Gonna pull the old drivetrain out of it tonight I think

 

The land cruiser has a coolant leak, very small and kinda expected, but annoying nonetheless. I have a new part to replace the old one with hardline so it can never happen again but I was hoping to gather the rest of the pieces to delete the PAIR system first

 

Alright, I'm stuck on duty... I am trying to come up with ways (weighs) to shave weight off my truck. I already removed the swingout on my bumper and put forced the spare into the stock location. These days admittedly I don't do a whole lot of hardcore wheeling so I might ditch my mid skid as well. What other weight loss things can you guys come up with?

 

Why do you want to shed weight? If its for speed, well, nothings gonna make these trucks faster except boost.

Youre wasting your time, just my opinion.

 

Basically remove anything extra that's been bolted on. Armor delete is a good start. If you run steel wheels you can save a few pounds switching to aluminum. Other than that and bed load/build (rack, shell, drawers, rtt etc) not too sure.

 

I assume you have heavy AT tires on... Going back to stock size esp with a highway tire will probably make the most noticeable difference

 

Yeah I decided to stay with the 235s instead of 255. Get me where I need to go, even if the 255 look a bit better. My mpg is already not great haha.
