Correct, I increased my tire size by 1" and the ensuing dilemma was to decipher what did what when multiple mods occurred simultaneously. Point being, its been helpful to discuss things with others who didn't have groundbreaking mileage increases to determine what also held them back.

Factored that into the equation, yes. Thanks for the helpful reminder. When I've some time on my hand, I will install the hypertech speedo calibrator and will get a more accurate read, but for now using a coefficient to convert dash speeds to actual using GPS.

Just got back from a weekend of work at my hunting camp. Saw a lot of changes coming on the VFtuner forum.
I just want everyone to know that I have had my Pro Tuner License for a while and have all ECU's open in the Pro software to continue editing tunes.
I have not had any problems with Ovtune/Vftuner. All is good and anyone who is going to continue to tune trucks (other than their own) in the future will have to have the Pro tuner software and license.

The people that are/were abusing the system are getting their licenses revoked. The people that are following the guidelines are all OK.

I upgraded to vFTune 1.3 firmware and that worked. The new tune loaded up.

    Thanks for the help.

If we could only have faith, revoking licenses for the offenders should allow us OG people (dongle generation) to continue on with original promised functionality. But alas, change sweeps us all up.

PapaRee, does Techstream give you options on the AC controls at all? Annoying that the recirc comes on every time I turn the AC on regardless of the temp control position. I turn it off with the dash switch and it stays off unless I press the switch again or rotate the temp knob all the way to the left past the detent and it comes back on then as well. Just annoying to have to do this, turn it off if not desired, when I turn the AC on. BTW, it did this before the tune so not pointing fingers, just wonder if that sort of control is available through Techstream? Might be something else that can be changed to the liking of the tune customers. I love having that seat belt tone turned off. On my 2nd Gen I had to do some fancy button pushes in a certain order to kill that seat belt tone.

I have an inside the truck AC leak as well on my 2020. Dealership can't replicate it as it takes a while for the condensate to fill the area inside the dash it fills up. Then it starts leaking like it can't drain fast enough. Any ideas, drain line has been blown out.

Hmmm. I am at work tonight (Nurse), so I cannot hook up to my truck to check techstream for A/C settings, but there are a lot of guys with techstream out there. Maybe they will look for you.

Ok guys I have kind of kicked around the idea of tuning my truck, mainly for better drivability.
I have a 2016 DCSB Sport 4x4 with stock tire sizes and no lift.
I do tow my 6x10 trailer with my motorcycle and all my gear and tools for the track.
While towing I use ECT and S4.

When not towing on the highway it shifts all the damn time and I’m sick of it since I’ve taken a few longer trips lately. Usually I’m around town and it’s not an issue.

Sounds like the KDMax tune might cure my issues ?
I pm’ed the person on the list near me but haven’t heard anything in a few days.
What will it cost me and who should I talk to ?
I’m in the Kansas City area.

All of the AC controls are in the headunit - I don’t think there are any changes you can make in TS you that can’t make in the HU.

Ended up with the LT and so far pretty damn happy! Throttle response is money and shifts very smooth now. Nice meeting you!

I know the 4Runner doesn't have the same engine, but do they suffer from the same transmission/mpg/throttle issues? Or for that matter, any other Toyota vehicle? You would think they would have figured this problem out already.

Hey Toyota, have the 4Runner ECU team teach the Tacoma ECU team how to map correctly.

I have a 2021 4Runner. It could most definitely use a tune to clean things up. ECU can’t be access yet though, so no tunes available.

2010-2018 4Runner tunes will be filtering out soon though. 2016-2018 can be done now.

Tune event in Taos 7/17! I don’t have many appointments booked at this point so if it turns into just a fun trip that’s fine by me too!

I have a 2016 4RUNNER. It is awesome. I wouldn't even think about touching it with an OVTune. My 21
    taco has the KDMax tune.

Finally someone puts it in English thank you sir I thought this whole tuning program went tits up thought I wasted money on buying vftuner . I'm no tuner myself but I've been able to understand the program enough to flash my own truck, which is nice and alot cheaper than other ways . I was worried we where gonna lose the ability to buy tunes from tuners that have their pro license .

A little worried that California might have figured out this tuning thing. Curious if KDMax will pass the new emissions testing...
