I have a 99 Tacoma 2.4, I tried aligning the timing marks on on the cam and crank sprockets but the painted link doesn’t line up on the crank anyone has any suggestions?

Probably have to turn the cams a touch while you move the chain

Anyone have an idea why I can’t get my timing mark links to line up? Thanks!

No. You can move the cams just a little bit of the chain is just off by a tooth or so

Yea but not that much according to the book the two painted links on the cam sprockets are supposed to facing up and the one other painted link is facing down on the crank sprocket but they are far from lining up
