Today I added a storage box to the bed rack.
    20210711_161725.jpg

A couple days ago I added a centermount front bumper with light bar. I know the hardcore off road guys will scoff at it but I like the way it looks and I'm not a hardcore off road guy. Haha. Also added a Pro grille and smoked sequential turn signals. I smoked out the light bar this afternoon too, so it blends more...the light is still bright as shit.

Also added Kayak mounts...everyone and their mother said there was no way I'd be able to mount kayaks to the low rise bed rack....so I mounted kayaks to my low rise bed rack. Haha. It's a close fit no doubt but it works.

Well I will have to mess with mine some more but I’m pretty sure as long as I’m not past the detent the recirc doesn’t come on until I press the button. If I am past the detent it is automatically on. I will check it out but not right now the storms are raging here.

Finally installed the GMRS radio hardwire and added avs bug deflectors and rain guards for the windows. I keep forgetting that I'm not supposed to open the windows for a few days... Hope the glue sets properly!

Can you share where you got the "Tonka" window decal? I had dozens of those toy trucks when I was a kid. Good times. :)

That’s strange, so your 18 is set to not automatically apply recirc on start up regardless in max temp or not or if it was on or off previously? There has to be a setting then because mine turns on automatically no matter what

Got that one on Etsy. There's several different colors and I think there was even one that had "4x4" with the Tonka lettering. I went for the classic logo. I honestly don't remember the specific seller.

Bought my new 21 TRD on Nov 19. This is the result.

Dang I just did the math for grins. 233 days and that's 12.87 miles per day. Crap I worked and drove a new truck for a Oil Company did about 350 miles per day.

Off topic but what fire extinguisher do you recommend.

Not exactly done today but finished the first phase of my build a few months ago (bought new at the end of Nov 2020) and took the truck on a 4500 mile break in road trip through the southwest. About to start the next phase of the build (armor & RTT) which hopefully will be a lot faster than the first phase lol. Pic from Moab UT - unfortunately no real trail runs this trip due to lack of armor.

Is your camper shell reinforced? I have the regular snugtop rebel and pretty skeptical on mounting an rtt on it.

Set off to install the oem taco inserts so pulled out the clay bar but couldn’t just do the letters so the whole tailgate got swiped. Decided it was a good enough time to actually try the modded harbor freight da bought many yrs back that I never used (been putting it off because well I’ve never used one ). So this was a practice/test run testing pads, speed, technique etc. lc white pad at speed 3 didn’t knock down the scratches using I think turtles one and done. But I figured as much but wanted to start with the least abrasive and work down as needed. Went to lc orange pad speed 3 and it did a good job, not 100% but I don’t think I’ll go to the yellow just yet. I’ll probably bump the speed up some instead but then the bottom fell out of nowhere and that’s my story… didn’t finish compound at the higher speed and obviously polishing either (which I’ll go back to the white pad and possibly the black finishing pad) or let alone the initial task of installing the Tacoma inserts  I was able to clean up some of the splatter on the black plastics (lesson learned, I hope).

this is her nearly scratch free without the pop :anonymous:

Howdy all....Well after catching up on 13k worth of posts LOL I am back been a while for being on here been busy with work and all so I finally bit the bullet and ordered some katzkin seat covers will be getting them installed in a week or so. Question is the cloth seat upholstery worth anything?

No, it's stock. I forget the load rating numbers but the tent is within spec.

Covered up some scratches from our off roading. This was harder to do than I thought. It's not 100% but I can live with it :D!
