I have not measured the weight, but will research that soon and take it to some scales to get a number. But when SP told me the Access Cab camper weighed in at 360 lbs it was a bit of a shock . Front & rear aftermarket bumpers, the camper, gear, and people seems like it would get over GVWR really quickly. Driving back fully loaded, the truck felt like a boat, but that may be me being used to the no (RTT + Shell) for the past few months. This is overall a good exercise as its super easy to just say "throw whatever we need in the bed". Now its time to be a bit more mindful of what is being brought. The tentative plan is to get rid of rear seats, trimming general camp gear, and probably removing sway bars in the future as well.

Don't forget the overall weight of a stock DBC is more than a ACC, before you put anything in/on them.

I've kinda just accepted the fatness... But yes.. we have always tried to keep it on the light side when loaded with our gear as well.. it just all has a permanent home now more or less. Bumpers and everything else is just the name of the game.

that sounds like your shocks and leaf springs aren’t up to the task.

My 300lb OtherBrandCamperMadeOfAluminum, 50lb fridge, 100lb bike rack, 60lbs of bikes, water, et al… my truck handles great.
That was before I put on leaf springs that could handle the load yesterday. I was using an add a leaf before.

Reviving your question from the dead; did you ever find a good answer to this? I've seen someone on the SP Facebook group that looks like they've figured out a couple different options that interface nicely with the T track, but not sure where to look for them.

I think the best one is from Roofnest.

    https://roofnest.com/product/ladder/
The Falcon 8.5 would probably be the best. I asked SP and they didn't have anything to say.

    Justin said "check some forums"

Well, here we are I guess.

Per the FB group, this one was from CVT in Bend

And this one is from Wanderlust Overland, although I imagine they're just re-sold models from somewhere like Roofnest.

I wouldn't trust anything plastic to hold up a ladder after it's been in the sun for a few months in Colorado… The top solution from CVT looks best out of the two.

I agree. I couldn't quite tell if I thought that bracket was plastic or milled aluminum, but if it is in fact plastic...probably a pass from me.

I was thinking of getting some brackets to go from the bedrail to 80/20 made that are either one piece or can use the specific bed-rail t nuts. I'm having issues keeping my 80/20 locked to the rail given vibrations, etc, but I'm using just some jerry-rigged 1/4-20 t nuts and I think the specific rail ones would be way more secure.

Then I realized I can prob accomplish this with some L-bent aluminum and a few holes...unless you're really bored and want to get tricky with it:)

Got ya. Some strapping like you said sounds like the easiest solution. At least to test the theory anyways. Or.. would just better T Nuts work? Like better fitting for the 80/20

The T nuts fit fine into the 80/20, but I'm also using similar 80/20 ones in the bedrail since my L brackets are made for 80/20 (the hole size is limiting me to using smaller t-nuts in the bedrail so the only just fit well when tightened). If I had a bracket with a large hole for the bedrail t-nuts, then smaller holes to attach to 80/20 I'd be in good shape.

BUT- a bracket with an integrated t-nut that you slide in and only then just bolt to the 80/20 would be pretty sick.

I was waffling between those two options. They seem pretty comparable to me given the fairly limited pictures and information out there.

Same here. I was thinking I'd go with the cheaper options, although I think the black one looks nicer with my truck.

That's just about the same conclusion that I reached. I can't imagine that they're that functionally different. The brackets look pretty much identical to me.

Does anybody know of a site/forum where folks would be selling their Super Pacific builds? One nice thing that GFC has is a great forum on their own website where a section of it is people selling their builds for whatever reason. A lot can happen in 7 months wait time

If you have FB there was a couple of people selling their spots recently if they haven’t been sold yet.
