So as some of you know, I finally got my bumper in from powder coating this week after a 7 month wait for fabrication. Put it in and found out that either someone was way off on measurements or this bumper is for a Tundra.....

It did bolt up, but just barely. Not trying to trash talk cuz when I sent in these pics he said "wtf", but Joe at Mobtown made it.

Damn, that’s frustrating to wait that long and have something be off.

I'd be happy to drive it. As long as I can put a few tons of gravel in it first.

craaaaaap the ol shitbox 4runner decided to hit a little 230* coolant ditty when pulling into the kroger parking lot. Literally went to MD and back, then across VA all while hauling a bunch of crap without high coolant or trans temp, then it decides to get all horny going into the gas station. I need the audio alert of the ultragage or something lol, but the neutral and 2500 rpm definitely works and a lot quicker than I would have thought @EatSleepTacos .

My thoughts are its from the trans temp in the shared part of the radiator increasing coolant temps, so I've made up my mind to not run the external trans cooler in series with the radiator one. Just run the cooler stand alone. Its gonna make the tube routing easier too. Really wanted to install that this week, but it was all hands on deck painting cabinets at home.

highly don't recommend painting cabinets lol, but if anyones moms, wives, or significant others voluntells you to help, then the $16 HF paint gun is definitely the move. We ended up getting 3 of them and just throwing them away instead of cleaning and reusing haha

It’s wild how fast the temps drop doing that. And crank the heat too if you’re really in a pinch. You see now why I switched to UG, that audible alarm is nice. It’s only like $70 too. Glad you caught it.

Edit: I’ve also noticed I’ll be cruising on the highway around 195 but once I exit, temps start to climb for a little bit. They’ll hover around 210 at idle until it gets a chance to cool back down. My guess is since there’s not as much air flow to keep it cool but it’s hot from working hard on the freeway.

Those temps are about what I notice too from using TorquePro. I just bought the ultragauge too lol. 03-04 4.0 4runners don't use CAN bus which I believe makes it dicey, so luckily I dumbed into the 05 which does have CAN

Dang.. I have an early model Scan Gauge in my heep that I coulda given you. It doesn’t have alarms on it. But you can still see different things.

As for the Ultra gauge… I do like it better with the bigger display. Might have to upgrade to one myself.
