So places I Know are a total nightmare its like walking on egg shells and no one says anything you barely get a good morning anymore

 

The HR Director called me into their office but it was because someone was fired and was arguing it was because she was a female and they needed to talk to everyone about it.

I'd been there here for 2 weeks at that point and had hardly spoken to the person fired. I did help put a nail in her coffin, though.

A few years later, I was on a hiring committee and she applied for a different position in the same department. Who would want to go back and work for the people that fired you?!? She didn't get an interview.

Found this one at TSC on sale for $80 a couple years ago.

 

I had a trip to HR for saying the glass is refillable rather than half full or half empty for being condescending to a supervisor in a staff meeting .... I was like WTF if its not refillable it cant be half full....

 

A glass is always full of something.

 

Being in a Gov't building all day long I see people go into HR and come out to meet an armed escort, escorted out the front door....

These supervisors try and use this Psychobabble bullshit and when you don't comply your in hot water.....

 

My wife's previous boss was escorted out of the hospital when he was caught angling to get her fired for absolutely no reason. Among other things, he edited her annual review after she signed the original version.

Good thing she made a copy of the original first!

 

Some are just plain evil and underhanded .... We just toss them off the roof here

Dare I ask why protected?

 

Typically it's anybody of different color, ethnicity, orientation, etc are in a protected class. Some places it can even be just being female.

We had a big to-do where I work where someone said a certain "F" word. I shrugged it off but someone got offended for me. That was a big ol' mess. I wanted nothing to do with it. I'm there to work and keep the building running, I don't need that drama.

 

Yep, we've got a few full time part timers here too. It's the worst.
