I bought a cheapo set on eBay about 3 years ago for $100. Came with all the bulbs and everything. Bulbs shitted out after a couple months, replaced them with good bulbs and here we are 3 years later and can’t tell the difference from OEM.

A good "wall shot" with your truck parked facing a wall next to an identical truck with OEM lights will show you the difference.

Yeah I had the OEM headlights in my hand held them beside the replacements. They look identical. I assume you meant the actual light output. I noticed no difference with that either. Admittedly they adjusters broke but they were close enough. So I didn’t even bother aiming them, I rarely drive that truck at night anymore so that didn’t matter to me. Sure OEM is always best but doesn’t meant aftermarkets aren’t a decent alternative for people that don’t care who stamped their name on it.

I only need driver’s side at this point. Ugg that’s what I get for waiting to order.

I will agree that aftermarket headlights are an excellent choice - if you don't drive your truck at night.

Guess that is great if you don't drive at night. When winter gets here it is dark before I leave work at 5:00...so no aftermarket trash here. I need to be able to see where I am going.:facepalm::facepalm:

I got a set of sport head lights from here. I've had them a few months now with no problems. The only thing I could tell is they replaced the mounting taps on them and polished the lenses. It did take me a couple of months of checking in on their site to see if they had both in stock. They're OEM for the price of aftermarket.

Keep in mind if the headlights has been polished then UV protection will be less and hazing will start sooner.

OEM headlights are on backorder. Been waiting for a driver's side since May. Last date I had was 9/10 for shipping.

That does make sense. On that note, does anyone know the best product to coat headlights to extend UV protection?

That... hurts to hear. I hope they actually ship by 9/10 and aren't delayed again. I ordered through EB Toyota Parts. I just called to check on the status of the headlights and couldn't get them on the phone

I used a ceramic coating. It's been on there a few months so I don't know how it will hold up long term.

Ace96 has your estimated shipping date been changed several times since you originally ordered?
