I took my taco to have the trans. fluid flushed at the dealer the other day.
Is there anyway to tell if they actually done it?
I got up under the truck & looked, none of the plugs look like a wrench has been on them & not a wet spot anywhere that fluid may have run onto the trans. if they took a plug out.

Did you get a drain and fill or a complete fluid change? Any way not simply. You could crack open the overflow plug. You may/should still get a small trickle. With a total fluid replacement the fluid should be bright red. However, you should then change the crush washer and retorque to 15 ft lbs.

Also they may have used a machine to do the exchange. My understanding is they hook it up near the radiator.

Don't do this COLD (or at the wrong temperature). You may drain to much.

I had a complete exchange done.
I wasnt aware they hooked it up close to the radiator, that may explain it.
    I will check it out.
    Thanks for the info.

They usually plumb into the system using the transmission lines. It should be pretty clear if they did this if you look.

How many miles do you have? Most places shy away from a machine flush when the vehicle has higher mileage, that why they don't get blamed if you have an issue with the trans after the flush.

    80,000 on it.
That more than likely explains it, i did not realize thats where they hooked it up at.

I don't trust them anymore. They lie and take your change in your cup holder. Never going back.
