    Depends on where I'm parking.

If I park in my garage, I want the Tacoma.
If I park it on the street, I want the Tundra.

I just can't under stand why any one that owned a Tacoma would even look at a Gladiator. I would be embarrassed to even be seen in one! Steering all over the road, fires from leaking transmissions, drivers floor boards so hot they burn your feet etc and a look only a mother could love. That's OK I keep the Tacoma.

Not too up on the diesel, my 06 gasser puked the head at 70K in the powertrain warranty plus the secret warranty since they all had issues and GM screwed me royally

Will agree on the customer service part. I had some minor issues with the interior and the undercoating they applied. Took them almost a year to fix my seat, which is still not fixed properly but whatever and I had to get the GM involved to fix up the undercoating. One of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.

I do love my truck though and I would definitely buy another one if I needed/had to. I’m keeping this truck for at least 15 years, I find every excuse just to go drive it, still.

There was a time when buying a Toyota meant better quality and service vs the other guys. Those days are over.

Now I'm gonna go drink beer and watch my paint fall off.

Sometimes I wish I had a truck with a larger payload capacity, but there are pros and cons to every truck.

Just add some beefy springs. This is 1700lbs in the bed.

What are you running? Add a leaf, a whole new leaf pack?

All Pro Expedition leaf pack. Tundra Fox shocks. I literally could not tell the rear was loaded. I could feel the front fox coilovers struggling slightly.

I would be considering the Frontier. If the frontier had better highway drivability I might just go for it. Besides that there really isn't anything else in the market that can actually compete with a Tacoma...atleast, not with the 5+ year ownership intention. If you were looking to lease it for a couple of years then I'd consider one of those cutesy ZR2s with the junk country lift and sports bar.

I have the TRD Camry in that color combo and its a beast driving around town, and more so on the highway. 100% would prefer the XSE though, the body trims and all of that on the TRD scrape on everything. Also, the red seats are badass.
