I know this is the basic stuff and not really what anyone was asking about but I really like this video’s visual explanation.

Here's my alignment sheet Ironman FCPs and SPC UCAS. Done at a very good off road shop, zero rub at any articulation with 285/75r16s.

    (right side is current)

Those numbers look good, and no rubbing on top is really good. I still have minor rubbing but I can pretty much avoid it all.

I adjusted my coilovers to lift the front a bit more to match the lift in the rear (had more rake that I wanted.). I have the constant load leaf pack with the 3rd leaf removed. I bumped the constant load coilovers up to the 9 & 1/4, 9 & 1/8" (lower bolt center to seat spring height) and now the front is stiff AF. The back of the truck has some weight- RTT, RSI canopy, camping gear, etc.
Wondering if I should remove another leaf and then lower the front a bit more. Who has removed two leafs from the constant load pack? Still ride okay?

I can’t help with your question but I felt the ride was too stiff/harsh at 3” lift upfront, E rated tires above 40psi and SPC UCAs. Since then I lowered to about 2.5” and psi to 33 cold and the drive feels a lot better.

I've removed two leafs from the constant pack. Ran around for a few months with minimal weight in the back. Am now running with the RSI Smartcap on and am very happy with the ride! Haven't had it too loaded for long periods of time, but I don't have any complaints or concerns about the performance.

For what its worth, I also started with the front too high and it was a pretty shitty ride. Amazing what 1/4-1/2" drop did for the ride!
FWIW I'd be curious and think it'd be helpful to this thread if you'd take a measurement of your ride height with 3rd leaf removed then re-measure if/when you remove the additional leaf!

    Good Luck!

I was really surprised how much difference the about 1/2” drop in height helped the ride. Maybe it I ever get a bumper I could go higher again.

I received my rear setup about a month ago and today I finally received my fronts. Damn they're beefy! With the rears I was able to help UPS unload and carry to my garage. I feel bad I received a notification from UPS saying the packages arrived today so I texted my 12 year old daughter to have her bring them in. She text back saying she's exhausted from bringing the box that had both coilovers fully built in them lol 60 lbs bulky ass box!

After opening to inspect the UCA and coilovers I did not know mine would come fully assembled ready to mount. Had I known I would not have ordered the top hat shock mount through Amazon when I initially ordered my kit . It's gone past the return date and have no use for these now. Anyone have a use for them??

Sadly no option to purchase. I’ll just go back to my original plan with a kit from off road warehouse and bilsteins.

They're always on sale. Hold out and they'll have another sale sooner or later. Labor day sale, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving is all coming up. Hell, you have black Friday and Christmas too.

Hey guys! Before I swap out my suspension I just want to go over a few things to make sure I got things covered:

    1) Other than through Ironman4x4, where did you guys get a spanner wrench? Size? I have a spanner wrench that came with my Camburgs from years ago but it doesn't fit the foam cell pros for obvious reason

    2) I'm going to buy a tub of Mobil 1 Synthetic grease. The areas to lube are:
    - All bushings for the rear leaf springs (do I lube the inner bushing sleeves as well?)

That's about it. For some reason I thought I had a long list of things to ask you guys. Any other parts I should lube for the installation? There's no reason to lube the long ass bolt for the UCA, right?

    Thanks!

Link for the spanner I got is below.
I think I lubed every part of the bushings. I didn’t do anything to the UCA bolt. Get a friend to help lift and position the leafs… they are a pain to do alone… watch the e brake cables

    Other than that, good luck!

Agree with @hyrule_trd on the tool. I had one of them, it worked but wasn't perfect. It'll get you buy if IM is out of stock. The advantage to IM tool, other than weighing 6 pounds, is its also designed to be an all in one for rebuilding if/when you get to that point.

I was VERY generous with the red grease. Rubber bushings, inside and outside, metal sleeves, inside and outside. No squeaks so far! Don't be shy. You'll have some excess get pushed out upon install but after reading this thread a million times, error on the side of more. Squeaks are annoying!

Thanks! I'll definitely be generous with the grease. I have read and heard that if grease isn't spewing out that means I didn't use enough lol I've only done AAL and have never replaced a full leaf spring before so I hope my bolts/nuts aren't seized on my OEM leaf spring.

As for the spanner wrench I see a couple links on the bottom of this thread (one is GEDORE 80-90mm hook wrench and the other KEI Project universal) and not sure which size to get. I suppose I can spend a little extra to get it direct from Ironman. Got family visiting from California this weekend so I'm aiming for July 24/25 weekend for install.
