It went great! I got my best time on my last run, improving by an entire half a second. I also got my last day of use out of my front tires, they started chunking on the outer edge. Not bad for 10k street miles on -2.5 deg of static camber. They were 400 tw though, so pretty firm rubber. It was hot, and with 70 entrants, we got ten runs each.

We also did an hour and a half of fun runs after we finished. That's when we leave the course set up, and let people run each other's cars or mess around like a test and tune. You don't get to improve your recorded times, just have fun messing around. I let four people drive the truck, and they all had a blast. I got to drive two NA miatas and ran a good three seconds faster than my best run in the truck each time. After driving those I've determined I really need to ditch the bench seat for a good set of buckets and harnesses. Also stickier tires and if I stayed naturally aspirated, a 4.10 or higher rear end.

It really was! We won't be back down there until late august or September though. Next event is 7-8 at loring afb up in the county. I won't make it due to a wedding though, so I have some time to get new tires.

I'd be happy to take you for a couple runs. The running joke at this point is that I need a white board sign up list next to my truck for ride alongs. I don't have a single run I'm not taking somebody along for, and usually they're all claimed before my third run.

    Evenin' folks :hattip:

Just a boring day around here. Got the grass mowed and cleaned the mower up. Still haven't gotten any serious hits on the Talon. At this point I may have to take a loss on it to get rid of it. Was gonna bump my savings back up from the sale, but it looks like that's not gonna be...

I'm just about to go wash and detail my corolla to list it and try to pick up that Chevy... I'm excited at the prospect of getting out of the corolla.

Your turd gen for the corolla? Man that's a downgrade on my end... add 3k and you got a deal! (Roughly the price of a used talon oddly enough)

Just resting up from starting on a deck today. Had to demo a small (8x8) ground level deck and move (shovel & wheelbarrow) about a ton of 2" stone.

There's only one beer that all others are measured against.

Only problem I have with Guinness is it's super heavy and only 4.2% alc. So it's super filling at the time not feeling it. I use it to cook with though so there's that...

I don't find it filling, but many do, so I get that.
