I had NO FAULT Personal Injury Coverage as well as uninsured and underinsured coverage. My insurance company declined to honor my 10 year contract and the trucker's insurance company flat out told me they weren't paying for anything. After you've been run over by a semi, been seriously injured and lost about $30K in a heartbeat, you are in no position to hire a self serving lawyer. I tried for months, no attorney will go against the insurance companies.
If you are a lawyer or work for an insurance company, that's your problem. Insurance is not an "industry", it's a racket. Google "American organized crime 1930's" and "protection racket" for the history of this "industry".
Make sure you understand the judgement in my case where the ruling was that you are legally not responsible for your actions.
Anyway, since insurance did not pay for my still ongoing medical bills from the accident, because I am a veteran, American taxpayers are picking up the tab. That's you. So thanks and work a little overtime.
Remember, the only reason this post is here and everything that happened to me is because I chose to obey the law. If I hadn't stopped for the construction zone flagman, none of this would have happened. I won't make that mistake again.

Who was your insurance company? Curious.

I'm retired military and not working any overtime. Not a lawyer or insurance co. employee.

Sorry you got fucked, but even still one case doesn't condemn the entire industry. I understand why you feel the way you do, but if they were as bad as you make out everybody would know.

Is it insured? If so, when insurance totals it they will payout and keep the truck. There isn't any trade-in option.
