Yeah, figuring if someone has a setup within like, 2-3 days, let me know. Not actively hunting either. If nothing comes across then I'll just do the DIY with the unistruts. Those might actually even be better :D

Unistruts FTW. A 10' section is like $34 at Lowes.

I have a unistrut set up I will give you, I upgraded to mid height bars, but I still have the unistrut and brackets taking up space in the garage.

would those fit a turd gen? I think my bed rails are either lower or higher than a second gen.

I thought the bed was just an inch taller, I could be wrong, but I know there is a 1 inch difference with the bed some how

i know @Unchained 5150 had some of those side rider bike mounts that didn’t fit because of the different in the bed side to bed rail dimensions.

I still have two of the side ride bike mounts. Only the rear mounts work on the 3rd Gen. But his new design fits all gens

I actually have a set of tacomapocalypse low bed bars. They have made their way around TW here in virginia so I think they were for 2nd gen but along the way someone extended the holes to work with a 3rd gen. The only thing is that they are at my parent's house in MA south of Boston and I won't be back up there until mid august.

They worked fine with my smittybilt RTT so they should work for a kayak and bikes.

Free OEM steering rack - Burlington VT area.

I have an OEM steering rack that I replaced this spring. Details:
    • I believe it's original to the truck (m/y 2004, 210k miles).
    • It worked fine and did not leak when I removed it, but it has some play in the driver's side TREs.
    • I already tried replacing the guide (it has the newer teflon bushing style, not the clunky roller bearing) and it did not fix the play, so I returned the guide and dropped in a new OEM rack instead.
Since the replacement rack was new from the dealer, there was no core charge and they did not want the old rack returned (even for free to send out for reman purposes...I asked). It seems like a shame just to scrap a rack without first asking the TW community if it can be of use to anyone as a core return, rebuild project, or fancy wall art.

    A few conditions though:
    • I won't ship the rack, even on someone else's dime. It's bulky/heavy/not worth my time, and I don't feel like it.
    • You gotta come to me to get it. I'm in the Burlington area and regularly head out to the Rt. 100 corridor (between Stowe & Waitsfield) to ride bikes so I can meet up a little ways outside Burlington, but I'm not heading halfway to Boston or wherever to meet.
    • I want no money for the rack.
    • Definitely as-is condition. It functioned and didn't leak when it came off the truck in the spring, but it comes with no guarantee of function (see above bullet point about being free).

    PM me if interested. Cheers!
