I was bored, and it turned out really well…

 

This dudes got gigantic testicles

 

Gave it a wash...cleans up pretty good for a 13yo truck.

 

Installed Bilstein 6112/5160 Shocks (Didn't get a finished install photo of the 6112)


Installed 3/4" Wheel spacers to the front


Went and got an alignment + TPMS installed (finally!)


Now she's sitting pretty

Going to be installing an amp under my drivers seat. Anyone know if there is a factory ground somewhere nearby?

 

I’ve been looking for something like this. How sturdy is it?

 

Mod day prep

 

If you pull the center console there's plenty of chassis ground locations. But I'm assuming you're going to want something a bit more substantial?

 

My Mr Marv box showed up, threaded inserts all installed, two coats of stain laid down. Tomorrow morning starts the high gloss urethane and sanding.

I don’t know why I’m so hellbent on making this pretty when it going behind the seat, probably because I know someone is going to see it.

 

Was hoping to use a factory ground so I didn't have to drill/sand paint away, I'm sure I'll figure something out once I get it all torn apart.

 

I found a threaded hole under the center console, found a spare bolt that fit, and grounded my amps there with a ring terminal. I believe there’s another ground stud under the carpet under the front seat as well.

I used this one to ground my outlets to

 

The one I used was on the driver side rearward of the shifter, threaded right into the center transmission tunnel. Took a 10mm bolt, looked nice and sturdy. I need to circle back around and add another battery to chassis ground, and alternator wire if it isn’t awful to get to.

 

Traded her in for a 2021. Cost me about $2k to drive for 9 years- not including the mods along the way.

 

I printed a mount for the switches. I went about it this way so I can relocate them to somewhere more permanent once I decide where I want them. The mount is held on with some industrial velcro, this way it is totally removable and no holes drilled into the interior.

 

I rarely see tires at my station. Usually 35s though when I do see some lol
