I can go $60-80k. Maybe a bit more. Any more and I’d just be afraid of taking it out of the garage.

Would the warranty be void if you used non wilwood fluid?

 

Nothing mentioning fluids. They just mention the use of Wilwood brand fluid.. I read others using Castrol and other fluid in place of as well.

 

What are you thinking of getting? If your looking for a TRX I know of a place doing 5k under MSRP for one

 

Doubtful, as long as he doesn't use something incompatible, like DOT 5. Besides, install by anything other than a Wilwood-certified shop/tech probably nullifies most warranty claims.

 

Yeah. Lots of recommendations for having a shop do it.. Do at your own risk.. Purchaser assumes responsibility. Etc. Etc.

Wasn't bad install wise. The only thing is the passenger side still drags slightly. Going to finish bleeding and see where the Pistons sit once done. Then might have to find or make some specific thickness shims..

 

Only virgins drive TRX's.

 

Alright send it. I had the SOS kit years ago and I don’t remember anything in the instructions about specific fluid brands.

Raptor, TRX, lightning, I could even go for a Jeep. Really any quintessential douche truck would work.

I may be moving to Nevada so I might even wait till then to buy it. Since lower taxes and all.

Hey y’all, been diagnosing bad misfire on cylinder 6. Compression is at zero and leak down test has lots of air coming out of intake. Scoped cylinder and no scoring I could see on cylinder walls. Gotta pull the head. Any ideas what could be problem. Know where I can get a built 4.0 shipped to Hawaii lol (serious though)?

Yeah. You either have a bad valve or a bad valve guide seal in #6 cylinder. Either way, the head has to come off.

 

Lame... Sitting here waiting for my brake fluid and I check Amazon.. and it says delivery was cancelled and a refund is being issued. No explanation or anything. It was here in my town too.. Only thing I can think of is they leaked or something. It's hot AF here in Az.. idk.

Guess I'll just go look locally for some stuff.

 

Oil and coolant good. Catch can was extremely milky but otherwise meticulous with all maintenance - I do short trips here and there. This will be my first time pulling a head - not too excited lol.

 

just saw a guy in the 2nd gen thread unfortuanately totalled his 06. 114k miles. 1k for a lowish mileage swap would give you your factory core to build to your liking. just an idea.

 

dude i know heat. its not as hot here but without a garage and more humidity its tough.
