It was great finally getting out and putting names and faces to some TW handles.

It was a super fun day and I’m really glad we ran 197 at the end of the day. Was fun to get stuck a few times. Thanks for showing me around!

no problem! Always happy to give a spot! Great meeting you!

Great meeting y'all yesterday. Definitely a fun time wheeling. As a recent transplant it's nice to have a small community.

    7/17/21 POTLUCK CANCELED

I must have picked a bad day. As of this morning we only had 2 confirmed attendees for the potluck this Saturday, aside from myself.

With this in mind I have sadly decided to cancel this meetup :(

I don't mind at all if we get a small turn out for a wheeling meet up. Worst case, I'm going wheeling alone :D

This event on the other hand was going cost me a not insignificant amount of money to host. That was cool if we got good attendance, but with this few people coming out it was much less worth it.

We will have to try again another time, maybe.

In for a 5 tire rotation at the Discount Tires in Hillsburrito. Noticed a nice 3rd Gen getting some new shoes and socks. Saw it had brand new ICON suspension, and looked like a new set of ICON wheels going on.

Yeah, I had to switch to not being able to attend. Wife really really wants to get out of town, and as we all know, "happy wife, happy life"

I was thinking of driving Bennet Pass Road up by Mt Hood Meadows, and going out to Badger Lake. I am free Saturday or Sunday morning. I’ve done this route a few times and it’s certainly on the easier side and doable in a longer bed.

    Anyone trying to meet up?

Anyone know what the rules are about accessing the power line roads at lolo pass? I want to run it but don’t want to get busted if it’s not allowed.

On the Portland side of the pass most of the roads are fairly well gated and signed so I've generally skipped it. While I disagree with the size of the watershed area I try to avoid messing with it. Once you cross the pass I think all the power line road is good to go and fairly well maintained.

If you go far enough toward Dee (past the Vista ridge trail turn off) you can take the power line road that is fairly rough. I haven't explored that way very well but Google maps shows the road going out somewhere I know has a very locked gate.
