Do you wave or mean mug?

Maybe it's Idaho and the treasure valley area, but almost every taco driver I give "the wave" to, does not reciprocate...

I'm not leaning out the window giving handys or anything like that... but if my hand is on the wheel, I have the half wave and if my arm is out the window, I have the arm lift half wave...

I typically get some sort of stare down, or mean mug face...

Like chill bro... we're all on the same team here.

 

I used to do the two finger wave, but nobody does it back, so I just blow kisses to everyone now.

I only wave to Tacos that have had some obvious modifications done. Lift, aftermarket bumpers, whatever. I usually get a wave back.

 

I used to hate when other taco owners would try and wave. This was the wave the always wanted to do back.

 

i used to wave but only get the what the fuck, who are you look back.

 

I'm just going to go full wave and if they don't wave back, flip a bitch, chase them down, cut them off, block them off, get out of the truck, walk up to their window, gently tap on it and say "You didn't wave back. Just wanted to make sure you saw me."

I wave when I am in my TJ only people that wave back are those that are in TJs or early style jeeps. some time the highly modified new jeeps wave as well. rest are SNOBS

I think this is a nation wide thing, it's kinda how (unfortunately) our culture is, on top of having so many people... Too bad there's not more reciprocation tho... I wonder sometimes tho, if people may just be in a zone or not even see you for various reasons, like a glare on the windshield or whatever..
It does make me feel like flippin somebody off sometimes if they don't wave back, however I know that's my problem and not there's and doesn't help anything... I guess it comes from wanting to be kind in a not so kind world and seemingly continuing to get no love back and being frustrated

 

I know it's blasphemous but not everyone who buys a Tacoma sees it as some sort of lifestyle expression or extension of self.

 

Around here ,anyone with a "built truck" always seems to wave.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. Most people in a bone stock taco aren't aware that it's a "thing" or why someone would be waving at them.

By only waving at modified trucks it typically saves me from the same rejected feeling I got when my dad went out for cigarettes and never came back.

Don't know whether to laugh at your sense of humor about the dad thing and or commend you for making light of it... Either way I can kinda relate with that thing too.
