For the most part yes. Just go in through access 5 if we all go through access 6. There will be plenty of people with straps that can pull you out in the morning.

I live close to spi just went last week ,so beach access 6 they cleaned up no soft sand for miles and now you gotta pay to enter even trough access 6 so what people usually do “illegal if they see you” is if you keep going before the road ends you can go trough there but very risky just a heads up

What up guys, @DownhillDragon checking in! I'll be trying to get down there late friday night (like 1-2AM ish) to set up camp, somewhere north of Access 6. I'll be bringing my tuning gear (I am the creator of the PowerThirst tune), in case some of you crazy bastards want to enjoy the trip back in your taco more than the trip there! Staying thru sunday, not sure when i'm leaving, i guess when the beer and whiskey runs dry, or i get too sunburnt lol. Looking forward to meeting yall!!!

 

@DownhillDragon do you also do 4runner 5th gens v6 ? And what’s the price ?

 

So I DO have a Premium-only tune for the 5th gens that is downright awesome. Not every 5th gen is supported (just depends on the ECU calibration), and unless you know yours off-hand, I can't tell if it's tune-able till I plug into it. BUT I'm happy to check! Tune is $300 regardless of vehicle type. I can also support some Tundras as well, for the same reason, Tundras have like 8 million ECU Calibrations, but I might be able to do some porting to different ECUs on the fly assuming the VFTuner software supports them.

 

What advantages does the tune have and how much more power does it give you?

 

Top Priority was drivability:
- 140 new shift maps to fix gear-hunting and gets you into the power-band when accelerating
- All-new Throttle maps (can be customized, let me know if you need something custom)
- 1-3 MPG over stock (YMMV, since everyone mods and drives differently)

Other stats:
- 20HP and 20FT-lbs of torque on regular gas (dyno-tested). Still need to dyno on Premium but I'm expecting in the 30's for both
- ECT button can be programmed as a serious Sport Mode, or as a Gear Lock (for those who do a lot of heavy towing)
- Removes all governors, raises red-line to 7000 rpm
- Should actually INCREASE longevity of your truck, since it won't bog constantly in too high a gear, no increase in knock, and improves air-flow
- Customized for aftermarket Tires, Gears, AGM battery
- Supported year-models get improved Cruise Control as well

Hello guys I'm recently a new member to this forum, I hold up a local tacoma group in the Rio Grande Valley called RGV Tacoma. I noticed for the meet at SPI on July 24th. It's planned to head out as far as east cut. I just wanted to give some friendly advise and information. That after our crazy weather down here the sand area has receded a good amount. So there is danger in crossing mile 19 to continue onto east cut because of the continuous water that flows it creates really soft sand. And many people get stuck out there and depending on high tide I've seen people get there vehicles flooded in. I just worry for the safety of others due to the changes of the terrain out there. I would suggest it's safe as far as mile 19 for everyone and anything farther than your risking other peoples safety.
