What's up with *********

Just trying to get some insight and see if anybody knows something that I don't. So, July first I ordered a set of front door speaker adapters and paid through PayPal. I have yet to even receive a confirmation from them, but they have already been paid. It is proving just about impossible to contact anybody from Taco tunes. I've tried calling and can't get an answer or a response and I've emailed four times now and still no response. Their website says that I need to submit a ticket, but also says that their ticket system is down, but at the same time, they say to still submit a ticket, but no link to submit one. I was trying not to file a claim with PayPal, but it's starting to look like I'm going to have to. Sorry for the long post, any ideas or info on what's going on with them? Thanks in advance.

My two cents. Hopefully there was a clear statement upon purchase of what the expected shipping and delivery date would be. Hopefully on a confirmation email or digital receipt of some kind. Past that date, with no contact from company, I’d make one good faith attempt to communicate, wait 3 days, and then go straight to PayPal and/or credit card dispute if you used a CC with PayPal. Pretty cut and dry.

 

So I guess I'm filling a claim? Hahaha

Claim with Paypal and let them handle it. This will force the seller to do something and if he doesn't respond, Paypal will always take your side and reimburse. That's my experience at least.

 

hmmm good to know;

recently been dealing with a few companies where there is no proper contact info & auto renewal even if we cancelled etc. ridiculous;;

crocs canada took payment; left status of order as pending and never responded to anything; upon complaint thru bank, bank says takes up to 90 days before they can confirm wtf's happening even though the bank clearly sees the money received on their end; just gave up for now

Had hellofresh continuously place orders even though we canceled it; just ended up canceling card

Had Function of beauty do the same thing, wouldn't confirm cancelation until we provided screenshots and reported it as fraud to bank, and even then said eh we already shipped it; don't like it donate it

One more dingleberry company to add to the do not use list

 

Seriously, hard to believe sometimes how companies deal with customer service.

 

If you paid money, don’t have an order confirmation, and can’t reach the vendor, then I think you have every right to reach out to PayPal here two weeks later.

FYI crutchfield sends free speaker adapters and wiring adapters with the purchase of speakers. I just ordered Kicker KS speakers and I got adapters for front and rear speakers, they also delivered in two days. Sorry to hear about the shit experience with craptunes OP.

 

They are censored here on TW. Con artists. I would put a claim in man. Sorry you have to deal with that.

 

Just my .02, I didn't know their history on this forum back when I was putting together my stereo upgrades. I ended up ordering an amp rack from them and got it with no issues within a week. This was when everything else in the universe was backordered due to Covid. Guess its luck of the draw.

Apparently their customer service sucks, but I must say the girl they use in their install videos is mighty tasty...
