    If you wanted to flash this tune but needed to update the ECU wouldn't it be easier to just take it to the dealer and let them do the TSB under warranty? Don't they cover this for several years?
    I mean, I'm sure I can figure out Techstream and the ECU flashing but with the time involved in doing it for the first time, not to mention the STRESS (LOL), is that an option?

    You can take it to the dealer for the TSB, just make sure you tell them that it is having the problems listed in the TSB because some dealerships are very reluctant to just do the TSB if you are not having problems.

    Anyone tried flashing a TSB, CUW file with the vF flash tool? How’d it work out? Straightforward or a bit of a learning curve?

    This is a good tip.
    Ya know, now that I think about it, a car dealer is a lot like the government; the less they know about you the better.
    Maybe I'll download Techstream tonight and start playing with it.
    According to tonered on the first page of his "update thread", V15 may cost you some money but V14 is available for free?
    What's everyone using and where did you get it?

    And the "TSB-0043-20 Rev" for my '20 manual states I need V15.30.027 or later.
    So I probably shouldn't chance V14?

    So my biggest problem with the stock setup on my 21 is the first second shift. When you turn onto a street it very quickly shifts to second as you turn. Once the truck is straightened out I often want to accelerate quickly, but you literally have to floor it to downshift back to first. Had anybody else had this? Did a tune completely fix it?

    Yes, the tune can fix that.
    It can also be adjusted to hold gears for as long as you want.

    The only thing I can offer about a tune is that it’s tuneable. I bought the KDMax and requested @PapaRee tweak it in several places until my truck shifted and performed how I wanted it to. Check it out. :)

    Yea it’s brutal. Happened to me on Sunday. Shifted to second going around turn. Applied maybe half throttle and it lurched into first gear to get the truck moving.

    Should be receiving my vf kit in the mail soon. Can’t wait to install kdmax

    FWIW, Matt has commented that there's little gains to be had in performance coils for the Taco. His opinion is that the Taco coils are top notch for OEM.
