Wife and I love our new gazelle two room tent. Takes a little more effort than the single but we like the extra space. We are probably 15min setup. But that’s tent staked down, queen size air mattress filled, sleeping bags and bedding out, and 2 beers drank. Pack up in about the same time. Oh and we can stand up and walk around in the full shelter of our two room tent. Like to see someone do that in their rtt lol

So many counters to these... but ultimately.. it's for whatever the person's intended purpose is. We still setup and tear down and wheel.. usually daily on our long trips.. so no biggie. Plus thats the point to make it self sufficient and have a home for everything. Close up a couple things and ready to rock.

Its all just figuring out what works for you. Everyone is different. Whitney wont let me go back to ground tenting unless we are on a back packing trip. And now she wants a GFC but has to be white to match her truck cause she hasnt heard of powder coating.

Oh for sure dude! I miss my rtt like I said, I just can’t justify it right now. Now that I have a house I may get one again since storage isn’t an issue.

This is the azbs thread. Not az overland thread. I’ll stahp when I’m good and ready hahahaha.

But yeah like it’s been said. Everyone is different and has different needs. On “camping” trips I get jealous of the perks of all the overland stuff like fridges, rtt, and what not. But then I hop in my truck, blast whoops, jump, crawl hard, and remember what we built it for. So when we are just camping we suffer a little more.

Do want to really work on the trailer though like I said to make it more self sufficient for multi day trips where we base camp.

I think everyone will always argue rtt vs ground tent.

At the end of the day camping is more about popping tops and safety meetings. I think it’s all sick, but I think the wedges are a step above if you have the coin haha

I swear if someone calls a safety/drivers meeting on a trip they need to be punched in the fucking face...or a patch swap.
