Just a PSA for anyone with a prerunner who wants to get sliders. I just picked up some mobtown bolt on sliders off of craigslist and was expecting to have to drill a few holes for extra rivets and cut and weld the forward mounting arms to a different length along the frame to match the crossmember. I was pleasantly surprised to see I only needed to drill one hole in each of the crossmember mounting flanges, as well as bend those flanges in a few degrees. For anyone wanting bolt on sliders for their prerunner I would definitely definitely recommend mobtown offroad's.

Looks good! Do you feel the sliders slowed down the truck a bit or was it hardly noticable

I installed a lift and changed what were most likely the original spark plugs before I was able to get an mpg reading. Surprisingly I didn't notice any more than maybe 1 mpg lost after all of this, but I'm thinking new plugs kind of cancelled out the lift and sliders. I will say I did notice a bit more dive when braking, but that was on suspension that had an extra couple hundred pounds on it while 140k miles old.

I do really like the way these mount. The clamp around the frame really makes them feel super solid. If you have a prerunner and a torch I'd highly recommend them.

Thanks for all that info! Good stuff. How was the 4wd swap? I have an 06 that I love and thinking about doing the same. I'm hesitant to cut through the cab and take a risk on another tranny

I had RST do it before their reputation went down the tubes. I had the same hesitations as you though. I didn't want to risk getting a leaky tranny, diff, or t-case. I wanted the warranty that came with them doing it because I don't trust myself to pick good junkyard parts. The labor doesn't seem that bad though, I'm 99% sure I could've done it given the time and space. I think its definately worth doing though, atleast in this crazy market.
