Been looking to get a lift and am torn between OME or RC. The RC seems really attractive because it's cheaper (and currently in stock) . I just don't know because I haven't heard much about RC (Suspension lifts).

Any advice from older, wiser and more experienced Taco owners?

RC if you plan on selling the truck tomorrow, OME if you want to keep it. I had the OME lift on my 2020 Tacoma. Rode great, is excellent quality, and worth the wait until it's available again. Hit up Headstrong Offroad to order the OME kit.

I have the OME 3" currently on order right now, I'm a little confused because all the part #s for this kit reference 2" lift components.

Also did this kit work with stock UCAs or were different ones needed?

If those are your only two options, OME.

    Hands down.

I had 886 springs and 90000 shocks, known as OME's heavy duty line up, but with medium duty dakars. Rode perfectly fine once things were settled. I would 100% recommend new UCA with anything over 2" of a lift. Better for alignment, better angle, and stronger. I had SPC's UCA.

    Pic because I miss it.

    Love it.

Can these coils be adjusted to a lift that is less then 3"? The website says 0"-3" I've just had a hard time finding information on how that's achieved.

No, they're not a fully adjustable coilover.

Have a RC kit on our keep, no problems. But if you are gonna actually Offroad and shit I’d think OME put a lot more thought and testing into the actual performance and is a Toyota specialist. So RC if no off-roading to save money and OME if your gonna do some wheeling. What is the difference in cost?

Could anyone please explain what it is you don't like about the RC lift kit. Not trying to debate anything, just want to understand the differences, better shocks? Springs? Also what is better about the AAL vs. spacer blocks? I assumed spacer blocks would raise the truck but not changer the ride quality, would that be true?

Keep in mind the weight of your truck will affect the lift height when you’re getting your lift from coil swaps. Double cab V6 will get less lift than an access cab 4 cyl. Best to do some research, maybe talk to Marie at Headstrong off road (I’ve heard good things about her). Dobinsons off road also makes coils and shocks for tacos.
