2012-2015 Tacoma DRL with Integrated Push Switch Harness

no i removed the junction block and just put it back the way it was, but even with the block it didn't make a difference

 

ok so cut the green on the turn and tape it. and for the corner just cut and tape.

For the corner, no need to cut. Remove the connector, tape the exposed ends (connector side and side marker side)

 

oh yes i will do that even better, didn't thought of that makes sense

 

For the DRL feature, cut white wire on position 19 of C11 (and tape ends). That's the connector under the steering wheel going to the light switch.

 

so i can just cut this under the dashboard to disable the the DRLs ambers?

 

It's the remaining wire to activate the feature.


Mine does not have the wire.

Them...no. Just the white wire on position 19. DRL select.

ok so now since i have the best expert on the internet i have one last question ) you know you give someone a small finger and they take the whole arm (joke) but i have one more big question.

in germany i need to install a red rear fog light 21W light its like a brake light, with a dashboard switch. my question is, where would i be able to get power for the light/switch only when the ignition is on?

 

Does the Tacoma have a 7 pin towing connector?
When is it required to be ON?

 

its only on when its foggy and i need to have a foglight switch that has an indicator light. in germany you can only use front fog lights when its very foggy or its a ticket and the rear needs one for the safety

 

hm i don't know but ill check never really use the tow hitch. ill make a picture

 

You could use the fuse that powers the Back up lamps (reverse) with an add-a-fuse. Then snake the wire to the switch, then under the carpet out the bottom of the driver's seat plug to the frame, to the rear location.

ok perfect, i ordered all the items already on eBay just waiting for everything to come in and i was just trying to figure out whats the best way to get power with only the ignition on.

hahah I am german and still have my german drivers license the tacoma will be a bit slow on the Autobahn but i love my truck and got used to driving slowly now for many years. I used to drive 255km/h in my moms OPEL OMEGA when the trees on the side become a wall and the broken white lines in the middle a solid line. in 2010 i visited my mom and took her golf VR6 and drove around germany and many times i missed my exit its just way too fast heh.

but i will post some pictures here when i am doing the TUV at the german TUV station and let you know if the work paid off
