    My stock went like hot cakes as well. Pretty sure someone asked me if I'd be willing to sell it after they saw I had the URD Y.

    some fellas have emission stuuff go south. if its taking shed space id rather help another fella out.

    I would think a bad ringland would lead to low compression. While a bad valve or spring leads to zero compression

    I don't mean to clutter up this thread cause I have a seperate thread about this issue https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/misfires-p0300-p0305-p0306.728547/, but here is some interesting insight I just got from Gadget: "Seems like #6 is always the one to go first. I think it might be from oil from the PCV system getting into that cylinder and reducing the octane and causing knock. Just the way the PCV is setup and they way the engine leans back seems to flow right into that cylinder.

    We do run lower spark timing on that side of the engine to reduce the issue somewhat."

    Lastly, I don't see ARP headbolts available on their website for the 4.0l. Is this something I need to contact them or special order?

    Seeing this issue many times before, my money (vote) is still on a bad valve or on bad valve seals.

    We might as well do some votes on this and then when he finds out, have him update us. Winner(s) get to say I told you so to the loser(s). :D

    Yeah, ring lands seem like an obvious answer, but the leak down showed air escaping to the intake. Unless the oil fill cap was on, I would say it has to be a valve. When I did my leak down test when my ring lands failed(suspected haven’t torn down yet), air was clearly coming from the crank case.

    The zero compression and the "tons of air escaping from the intake on cylinder leakage test" is what makes it the dead giveaway for me.

    It seems cut and dry to me, but hey, I've been wrong before... I'll be wrong again too. Haha.

    I did have oil cap, rad cap removed and no sign of leakage there. Also, after compression testing all cylinders we did squirt some oil down cylinder 6 and still zero compression.

    You might want to contact them but if you don't have any allegiance, LC Engineering has it. Says not available at the moment. If you're not pushing over a certain amount of horsepower or have some high hp goal, the ARP head bolts are moot. You'll have the thread chase the block for the studs to properly torque because snapping a ARP head stud on install sucks. TTY bolts work great still and less hurt on the pocket.

    A couple notes for reference here. I have done compression tests for years and have never pulled the oil cap when doing a compression test. Have I pulled all the plugs to get a more even reference across the board? Yes. But never have I pulled the oil cap.

    As for the term "ring lands" I have never heard that verbiage either. Are those what you guys would label the piston rings because you got me legitimately lost in the sauce the way you guys keep throwing that term around.
