Wind Chill Pearl Thread

I picked up my truck on 16 Jun. It had two port installed options; all weather floor mats and door sill protectors. Since then I added mudguards, remote tailgate lock and LED bed lights.

 

Picked up my Limited Nightshade June 10th. Love the WCP and black accents!

 

I just noticed the grill is different on the Limited vs the Sport which I have.

 

The Nightshade is different than the regular Limited. I thought I read where the Nightshade grill is from the Sport of, like, 2-3 years ago, or something.

 

I would so get mine painted that color but pearl is $$$. Wish the PRO would be available in that color, have the similar color pearl on my Lexus and love it

 

What I like about this Wind Chill is that most other pearls have a bronze-ish hue to them...almost looking dingy, IMO. This Wind Chill, though, seems to have a more silver hue to its pearl. I really like it.

 

Yes, that may be correct, but possibly without the chrome from the 2018s-2019s. Just a thought...

 

Right. The chrome bezel was also dropped in favor of a black one.

 

My truck has a twin!!! Probably won't run across too many more like it. Congrats.

 

I read where there were only 5,000 Nightshades to be built in 2021. Of those, 2K were to be black, 2K were to be Magnetic Gray Metallic, and 1K were to be WCP. But, due to the chip shortage, those number will be reduced somewhat. So, maybe only 7-800 WCP for 2021...? Maybe the rarest of all Tacomas?

 

I have a suspicion that the TRD Sport WCP are also rare, but I don't have any data to back it up .

I checked out your build thread. Truck looks nice. I wondered how the Pro Grill would look with the WCP. Goes together very well.

 

Just picked up mine this past evening at 6 PM. WCP TRD sport with MT.
I bought it sight unseen. Went looking at trucks on friday, told them what I was looking for, and they said they had one coming up from TX, with the basic package, in WCP and a standard.
Bought her right then and there, sight unseen. And, when I went to pick her up? Fell in love immediately with her!!
I am going to black out the chrome, and put black lettering on the stamped tailgate. But man, is this color nice!!

 

Yours looks just like mine. I have approximately 500 miles on mine now. I like the color a lot. Congrats!

 

Does anyone know if WCP will be offered as a color for 2022?
